Samsung confirms fix for annoying One UI 8.5 NavStar issue in One UI 9.0

Samsung has confirmed that the annoying navigation bar issue will be fixed with the upcoming One UI 9.0 update. The problem started after the One UI 8.5 update and has affected some Galaxy Tab users. However, Samsung has not yet shared the exact date for the fix.

After updating to One UI 8.5, some users noticed that the navigation bar would not hide properly when using the NavStar’s Fix/Hide Button feature in Good Lock. The bar stays visible at the bottom of the screen instead of disappearing automatically.

The only way to hide it is to pull down the notification panel. For Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra users, doing this again and again is very frustrating because of the tablet’s large screen.

Some users have reported the issue on Samsung’s community forum and other online platforms. They have been waiting for a software update to solve the problem. Since tablets are mainly used on a large screen, having the navigation bar constantly visible takes away from the full-screen experience and makes normal use less comfortable.

In response, a Samsung moderator has now explained that this problem requires changes to the main software platform. This is why it cannot be fixed through a simple NavStar update. Samsung has confirmed that the issue has been improved in One UI 9.0, giving users hope for a permanent solution.

However, Samsung has not announced the exact release date for One UI 9.0. Until the update arrives, affected users may still need to pull down the notification panel to hide the navigation bar.
