Here’s the new Samsung Adaptive Clock style coming with One UI 9.0
Samsung has a brand-new Adaptive Clock style for all Galaxy users, and it’s set to land with the One UI 9.0 update later this year. The new addition takes the count of available styles to two, and it looks better and catchier.
Galaxy Unpacked is set for July 22, where Samsung will officially reveal its new software update. Meanwhile, the One UI 9.0 is already available in the Beta Program, giving us an early look at the new features and changes.
Here’s the new One UI 9.0 Adaptive Clock style
Samsung’s latest update adds a new Adaptive Clock design. The new style introduces different aesthetics, which make it stand out. The existing option has become the second option, with the new one becoming the primary choice.
We’re pretty familiar with the legacy Adaptive Clock looks. Meanwhile, the newer option looks a lot better on the lock screen. The first and last character of the clock font is where you see the biggest difference when applied.
The clock fonts cut a little part of the character from the bottom side. Additionally, the new font maintains a proper distance from inside out. As a result, the clock appears more reliable and clearer while staying adaptive.

This option is available in One UI 9 Beta on Galaxy S26 series. Samsung will distribute it to the public as part of the official rollout. It is expected to start in September, with expansion stretching to the month of October 2026.
If your Galaxy device is running One UI 8.5, you will receive the new adaptive clock style. Having this font on the lock screen gives a unique appearance. After the addition, you are highly likely to prefer the newer option rather than the old one.
