Samsung has begun rolling out the second One UI 9.0 beta update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. It is currently available in South Korea, and Samsung is expected to release it in more countries soon.

The second beta update comes about one week after the first One UI 9.0 beta. This update mainly brings new features and bug fixes. Samsung has worked on several problems to make the phones more stable and easier to use.

The new update adds some new AI features. Samsung has also fixed errors with Bixby Vision translation. The Contacts app should now work better, as Samsung has fixed a problem that could make the app crash. The company has also improved Wi-Fi performance and fixed unexpected connection drops.

There is also a camera fix. Earlier, 15x zoom did not work properly in Video mode when the maximum zoom was set to 15x. This issue has now been fixed.

For the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung has fixed a screen problem where opening the phone sometimes showed only the cover screen. The main screen should now appear correctly. Samsung has also fixed a problem with gaming controllers that could not connect.

Eligible beta users can check for the update by opening Settings > Software update > Download and install. If the update is not available yet, users may need to wait until Samsung releases it in their country. More regions are expected to receive the second beta soon.

Days after opening One UI 9 Beta for Galaxy A36 and A56, Samsung has now launched the Beta Program for Galaxy A55. Users of the Galaxy Quantum 5 are confirming that the Beta testing sign-ups are now open in South Korea.

Notably, Samsung has included the September 2026 security patch in the Beta of Galaxy A55. The firmware weighs 2130 megabytes, with the PDA build version ending with ZZI1.

Expanded to Galaxy A36

Samsung’s One UI 9 Beta 1 update is now live for the Galaxy A36 5G. This update lets users try out new features ahead of the official release. The update is now live for users in India.

Launched for Galaxy A56

Samsung has started the One UI 9 Beta Program for the Galaxy A56. This comes after the company launched the beta program for the Galaxy A57. Now, Galaxy A56 users can also try the new One UI 9 software before its official release.

One UI 9 Beta 1 is now available for eligible Galaxy A56 users. This means users can install the new software and experience some of the features and changes that Samsung is preparing for the future.

Samsung has not started the September patch rollout yet. August patch distribution was quite slow, and we anticipate a similar move this month. One UI 9 official rollout may also begin for Galaxy S26 series, which could delay the patch.

Samsung is adding a simple but useful feature to One UI 9 that can make international calls easier. The feature is part of Call Brief and can show the local time of the person you are calling if they live in a different time zone.

The new Call Brief feature means users do not need to open Google or another app to check the time. Like, if you are in India and want to call someone in the US, your Galaxy phone can show their local time. This can help you avoid calling someone when they are sleeping or busy.

Users on X recently noticed this feature. It shows useful information about the person you are calling, including their local time. This can be helpful for people who often call friends, family, or work contacts in other countries. It can also help people in the US who call others in different time zones.

The local time can even appear before the call starts. While testing the feature on a Galaxy Z Fold 8, the other person’s time appeared while dialing an international number. This gives users a chance to check the time before making the call.

Call Brief can also show other useful information, such as events and messages. It uses Samsung’s Personal Data Intelligence on One UI 9 devices.

The feature was first available on Samsung’s latest foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Samsung has now brought it to the Galaxy S26 series with the seventh One UI 9 beta update. Samsung is also testing One UI 9 on more Galaxy phones, so the stable update may arrive soon. Stay tuned.
