Samsung starts rolling out May 2023 software update for the Galaxy S22 series, making the SOS feature even more usable. The latest update is initially rolling out in South Korea, while the changes are likely to be applied in international variants with future firmware.

According to the changelog, the Samsung software update for the Galaxy S22 series brings usability improvements to the Emergency SOS feature. The function which remains activated at all times can now be changed to turn ON or OFF through the Countdown/Time toggle.

Additionally, the new firmware brings system stability improvements to the device. It will help your Galaxy deliver a better user experience and a lag-free software UX. The native functions such as Camera, Home screen, and Lock screen will get better optimized with the OS after this new software installation.

Last but not least, there are a number of One UI apps that are getting new version updates alongside. To offer the best-optimized performance, Samsung included new app versions in the One UI software package. We believe that the One UI’s May 2023 patches are embedded in this update.

Samsung’s May 2023 security patch brings fixes to about 58 common vulnerability exposures in the Android operating system. Moreover, the Korean tech giant has included 21 additional Samsung Vulnerability Items in order to maintain the security level on Galaxy devices.
