Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 could get a slightly downgraded battery rating compared to its predecessor. Since the cell is getting negligibly smaller, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy processor would help the phone last longer with a similar battery capacity.

GalaxyClub found the battery cells of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, which carry model numbers EB-BF731ABY and EB-BF733ABY. The phone will continue to equip two battery cells, and both reportedly get tweaked as part of making a large cover screen possible.

According to the info, the first is the ‘small’ battery, which is installed in the top half of the device, while the second is for the bottom portion. Compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 4, the Flip 5’s smaller battery could have slightly less capacity, while increment in the larger cell.

  • Galaxy Z Flip 5
    • Small cell – 971 mAh
    • Big cell – 2620 mAh
    • Overall – 3591 mAh
  • Galaxy Z Flip 4
    • Small cell – 1040 mAh
    • Big cell – 2555 mAh
    • Overall – 3595 mAh

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 has a rated battery capacity of 3591 mAh, while its predecessor features a rated battery capacity of 3595 mAh. This tiny change may not make any impact on the advertising strategy of Samsung and consumers would see the same 3700 mAh as typical battery capacity.
