Official in India drains dam to find his Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is a stunning smartphone, no doubt. Think once if you mistakenly lost your phone in a reservoir, what you will do? Naturally, one would get disappointed and go ahead to purchase another model, but, an official in India did something that is unimaginable.
The love for the device reportedly pushed an official in India to drain part of the reservoir (AKA dam) to retrieve his Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, which he had lost at the location. Shortly after, the local government suspended him from the job of food inspector.
According to The Indian Express report, Rajesh Vishwas was picnicking with friends at Paralkot reservoir in Chhattisgarh State in India, where he dropped his Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra into the dam. As it was a $1200 smartphone, the man decided to get it back by draining the entire dam.

Firstly, some villagers he knew spent two days diving in the dam to get the phone back, Mr. Vishwas told The Indian Express. When it didn’t work, he rented a diesel pump and drained about three feet of water over another two days, which was enough to irrigate 1,500 acres of farmland.
After all, Mr. Vishwas managed to retrieve his phone back this past week, but in an unusable state. However, He told The Indian Express that news reports of his phone-retrieval operation had been greatly exaggerated. He also said the Paralkot reservoir was not used for irrigation.
Ms. Shukla, a district magistrate in the area, said that “local farmers did rely on it to irrigate their fields. He will face consequences for draining the water, and this won’t be tolerated.”

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE to miss Snapdragon AP

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is reportedly coming later this year or in early 2024. The company has already started software development and a new rumor talks about possible chipset installation. Tipster claims that Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will use Exynos AP rather than Snapdragon.
According to tipster @Tech_Reve, Samsung could equip Galaxy S23 FE with Exynos 2200 AP, which debuted with the Galaxy S22 series last year, rather than Snapdragon. It’s a premium chipset on paper and is affected by performance and overheating problems in practice.
It looks like Samsung is considering Exynos 2200 over a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC to maintain price. However, it will significantly affect the sales of the upcoming Fan Edition smartphone as consumers are well aware of flaws that surfaced in the Galaxy S22 lineup.
Earlier, it was reported that the company may fuel its next FE model with Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1, the same as the Z Flip 4 and Fold 4. Meanwhile, some Korean reports also say that new Exynos 2200 chips are better than those installed in S22 line as Samsung improved the process technology.
