Multi-device login was a highly demanded feature by WhatsApp users. In 2022, the company brought the ability to message seamlessly across all their devices through a multi-device feature. However, it doesn’t let users use WhatsApp on a second phone.
“Now you can link your phone as one of up to four additional devices, the same as when you link with WhatsApp on web browsers, tablets and desktops.”
With the ability to login on multiple devices, WhatsApp has swiped yet another feature that its biggest opponent Telegram offers. Since each linked phone connects to WhatsApp independently, your messages, media, and calls are secured with end-to-end encryption.
In case your primary account remains disabled/inactive for a long period, WhatsApp will logout all other paired phones and companion devices automatically. This will ensure your WhatsApp account and personal data will remain secure against evil eyes.
Samsung users can now switch between Galaxy phones without signing out and pick up their chats where they left off. It also becomes a beneficial tool for small business owners who don’t have utility software for management.
With multi devices logged in, employees will be able to respond to customers directly from their phones under the same WhatsApp Business account.

Alternative way to link to companion devices coming
WhatsApp mentioned in its blog post that an alternative and more accessible way to link to companion devices will be rolling out over the coming weeks. Instead of QR-based authentication, WhatsApp will allow Web sign-in through a one-time code on the phone number.

The Galaxy S23 FE sports a 6.4-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display with an Adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. It weighs 209 grams and expands 76.5 X 158 X 8.2mm. Talking about appearance, it looks quite similar to its parent model; the Galaxy S23 and has thick bezels like the Galaxy A54.

On the rear panel, it’s equipped with a triple camera, consisting of a 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera, a 50MP Wide Camera with Adaptive Pixel technology, and an 8MP Telephoto Camera with 3x optical zoom. For selfies and video calling, there’s a 10MP front camera with an 80-degree field of view.
In some regions, the Galaxy S23 FE uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm, while in others, it relies on the Exynos 2200 chip developed by Samsung. Both chips are manufactured on advanced 4nm process technology and paired with 8GB of RAM, with storage variants; 128GB and 256GB.
Moreover, a 4500mAh battery powers the Galaxy S23 FE, and the device supports 25W fast charging. Samsung says the device can charge up to 50% charge in around 30 minutes with a 25W adapter. It also supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare, letting you charge other Galaxy devices.
Out of the box, the Galaxy S23 FE runs Android 13-based One UI 5.1 operating system. The company confirmed that it will get four generations of Android/One UI upgrades and five years of security patches. Connectivity HW include 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth v5.3.
