Samsung My Files is a way to manage all the files on your smartphone. It is just like a file explorer on your phone. Here you can manage the files stored on the SD cards, USB drives, and files in the cloud storage connected with your smartphone at the same time.

What are the key features in My Files?

  • Here you can browse and manage stored files on your smartphones conveniently. The user can create a folder, move, copy, share, compress and decompress files, and also can view file details.
  • The user can try friendly features, such as the recent files list. It includes the file list that the user has downloaded, run, or opened.
  • The Recent Files list includes downloaded documents, images, audio, video, and installation files.
  • Folders and file shortcuts are shown on the device home screen and the My Files main screen provides a function used to analyze and free up the storage space.
  • The user enjoys the convenient Cloud services. Such as Samsung Cloud drive, Google Drive, and OneDrive.

What are the new features in My Files?

There are three new features. The first one is the free up storage space easily by tapping the Storage Analysis button on the main screen. The second one is that you can hide any unused storage space from the main screen via the option of Edit my files home. The third one is that you can view the long names without ellipses just by using the list view button.

To have the full application support and permissions, to utilize the application services properly. Some of them are used to open, delete edit, and search files and folders in the internal or external memory of your smartphone. Last but not least you can strengthen the security by entering a password. Now the compressed files can also be unzipped with passwords.
