‘TheElec‘ has reportedly revealed that Coasia Optics will be supplying lens modules to Samsung for use on the Galaxy S smartphone series. The company is likely to Supply the lens modules for the standard and Plus models, as some of the internal sources from the company said.

New lens modules will be used for the front cameras on the Galaxy S smartphone series, starting with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S22. Some of the sources say that ‘Coasia Optics’ affiliate ‘Coasia CM’ already supplies camera modules to Samsung.
This ‘Coasia Optics’ is not the first company by which Samsung is taking camera lenses but it conventionally does this to maintain and diversify the supply chain and to cut a per-unit price after the product is launched.
In recent years, Samsung has opted for obtaining camera modules in a preassembled multilayer camera setup instead of taking a single unit from a single supplier and producing them into a single unit.
Meanwhile, Samsung’s smartphone supply chain is dominated by Chinese companies Largan Precision and Sunny Opticals. Coasia Optics is also aiming to grab this order from a Korean tech company for the mid-segment A series lineups.

Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series are getting the October 2024 security update in the US through One UI builds given below.

- Galaxy S23 Ultra – S918USQS4CXI4
The fresh update brings fixes for some issues that users encountered in previous versions to make your Galaxy S23 more stable and secure. The installation package size of this update is around 400MB.
October 2024 security update brings important fixes from both Google and Samsung, addressing vulnerabilities in the Android operating system and Samsung’s software. Google fixes 2 critical and 28 high-level issues, with 1 previously resolved and 2 not affecting Galaxy devices.
