Screenshots are a boon for software developers to smartphone users. I mean, isn’t it great to capture exactly what you’re seeing on your screen. Whether you’ve just reached a new level in a game or want to save an important document or funny meme, you can take a screenshot on your device and capture it.

Nowadays, people regularly take screenshots of funny/abusive comments or memes on social media to share with friends. Students take screenshots of important notes while some take screenshots of important documents/data, etc. Taking, saving, and sharing screenshots can be extremely helpful.

Despite using Bixby or S Pen on your smartphone to capture a screenshot, Samsung One UI provides two different ways for making it more convenient for its Galaxy device owners. The first is the traditional method which is pressing the volume and lock buttons at the same time. Whereas, the second one is Palm swipe.

No matter which method you use to capture a screenshot, you get a toolbar just after you took one. The Screenshot toolbar does a whole lot more for you instantly, rather than just having to go and open it up on your gallery. Although this functionally comes default on any Galaxy smartphone, you need to ensure it.

How to enable?

  • Enter the Settings of your smartphone.
  • Go to Advanced features.
  • Click Screenshot and screen recorder.
  • Turn on the toggle “Show toolbar after capturing“.

Screenshot popup buttons

  1. Arrows pointing down: This screenshot tool catches a scrolling screenshot to let you capture the whole screen, for example, a long webpage. Notably, the option only appears when you are taking a screenshot of a long page.
  2. Crop and Edit: If ever you don’t need the whole screenshot, you can crop it immediately. Similarly, if you want to change something in the screenshot, you can do that too using different tools and pencils in a few seconds.
  3. Tag: Samsung provides you with different # (tags) to add to the captured screenshot as well as the ability to add new ones too.
  4. Share: You can share the captured screenshot quickly, without going to your phone’s gallery.
