Material You or RAM Plus, which one’s your favorite One UI 4.0 feature?
The Galaxy S21 series smartphone users are enjoying the Samsung Android 12 update ahead of its public release, thanks to the One UI 4 Beta activity. With the early One UI 4.0 build, the company introduced a large collection of features, while Beta 2 included Material You.
The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 comes with a number of new features as well as minor tweaks in the user interface. Among hundreds of changes + features, the RAM Plus and Material You are the noticeable ones as they take the user experience to the next level.
Material You for Samsung
Samsung adapted the Material You dynamic theme system of Android 12 to the One UI 4.0 along with adding support for third-party icon packs. This impressive functionality changes the color and feel of the entire user interface following the wallpaper picked by the consumer.
Samsung RAM Plus
With the Galaxy A52s, a mid-range smartphone launched a few months back, Samsung introduced the RAM Plus feature, which allocates some part of the internal memory and makes it usable as RAM. When enabled, the RAM Plus provides an additional 4GB of RAM for seamless applications experiences.
At the moment, the One UI 4.0 is available for the Galaxy S21 series smartphones in select regions. If you’ve installed Samsung’s Android 12 Beta update on your smartphone, let us know your favorite One UI 4.0 feature (s) in the comments below.

AMD wants to do to NVIDIA what Samsung did to Apple
AMD is taking a page from Samsung’s playbook against Apple, but this time the target is NVIDIA and its dominance of AI computing. The comparison is less about AMD trying to destroy NVIDIA and more about creating a credible second platform.
NVIDIA’s biggest advantage is not simply its GPUs. CUDA has become deeply embedded in AI development, giving developers a mature software ecosystem that is difficult for competitors to dislodge.
AMD’s answer has been to keep improving ROCm while making its hardware and software stack easier to adopt. ROCm 10 now includes an AI-driven development platform designed to help developers build and optimize workloads for AMD hardware.
AMD is also gaining something Samsung understood years ago: scale through partnerships. Meta has committed to deploying up to 6 gigawatts of AMD Instinct GPUs, while Microsoft is expanding AMD hardware across Azure and its AI infrastructure.
Chair Lisa Su’s more interesting move may be about what comes next rather than simply challenging CUDA today. AMD announced an $8.2 billion all-stock deal to acquire World Labs, the AI company founded by Fei-Fei Li.
The strategy reminds me of Samsung’s smartphone challenge to Apple. Samsung did not need to make iOS disappear. It needed to establish Android Galaxy as a strong enough alternative that consumers had another platform worth choosing.
If AMD can combine competitive accelerators, improve ROCm, major cloud customers and new AI workloads that are designed with its hardware in mind, NVIDIA’s grip could gradually weaken.

According to the leaked screen protector, the Galaxy S27 and S27 Pro appear almost the same in size. However, the S27 Pro may be slightly wider than the regular S27.
The Galaxy S27+ is expected to be bigger, while the S27 Ultra could be the largest phone in the lineup. This is as per the display size revealed via screen protectors.
Earlier leaks suggest that the Galaxy S27 may have a 6.27-inch display. The S27 Pro could come with a 6.47-inch screen. The S27+ may have a 6.66-inch display, while the S27 Ultra could feature a 6.89-inch screen.

The leaked screen protectors also suggest that Samsung may not make major changes to the front design. The new phones could look similar to the current Galaxy S series. The S27 Pro and Ultra may also get Privacy Glass, which makes the screen harder to see from the side.
Samsung may also bring several hardware upgrades. Some Galaxy S27 models could use the new Exynos 2700 processor. The phones may also offer more RAM and storage. The S27 Ultra could reportedly have up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
However, these details are based on leaks and rumors. Samsung has not officially confirmed the Galaxy S27 series, its specifications or prices yet.

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE grabs October 2026 update in the US
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has now joined the growing list of devices that have received the October 2026 update. The company has apparently sped up its monthly update distribution after initiating the One UI 9.0 rollout.
Verizon pushed the S741USQS2AZI5 update to the Galaxy S26 FE in the US, bringing the latest security patches released in October 2026. Samsung is expected to share the details of its October 2026 SMR next week.
Galaxy S26 series is now widely receiving the One UI 9.0 update. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 FE ships preloaded with the latest version. That said, the October 2026 patch comes as an incremental update to improve security.
Users can check for the latest update through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install. The rollout has just started in the US, so a wider distribution may take some time, but not weeks or months.
What’s changing:
- The current software update provides the most up-to-date Android security patches for your device.
The changelog mainly highlights system security improvements. However, Samsung updates clean up the system software for a better user experience. Temporary files would be deleted to free up storage for faster performance.
Galaxy S26 FE supports Seamless Updates technology. This solution ensures that most of the extraction process occurs when you are online. A quick simple reboot completes the installation, reducing a heavy shutdown period.
