The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will make its official debut at the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event next week. The hot topic of discussion is the phone’s selfie camera, which is placed under the foldable display and Samsung calls it Under Panel Camera.

Usually, the Korean tech giant uses its own developed ISOCELL camera sensors in its various smartphone lineups, meanwhile, it looks like, the upcoming foldable will not get the same treatment. According to the info via KiPost, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 features camera lenses from China’s Sunny Optical.

The report further suggests that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will be released on August 11 at Galaxy Unpacked event. The Chinese Sunny Optical has been expanding its scope to semi-finished camera modules since it supplied camera lenses to Samsung’s ‘Galaxy S9’ in 2018.

Samsung renewing offline stores

The company has started offering new promotional material to all the major retail stores globally. As you can see in the image below, the new banner shows off the Unpacked teaser-like images for foldable shapes and mentions the new Galaxy coming soon.

In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, the Korean tech giant will also uncover the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, and Galaxy Buds 2. However, the Android 12 announcement for Galaxy devices could be the event’s main highlight.
