Samsung releases August 2021 security update for Galaxy Fold 5G

Samsung August 2021 security patch rollout is in full swing as a number of Galaxy devices have received it over the air. At the same time, the OEM is continuously expanding the availability of the latest update to more and more Galaxies in which the Galaxy Fold 5G is the latest to collect it!

According to the new info, Samsung released a new firmware update for the Fold 5G foldable smartphone users. The update is equipped with the most up-to-date August 2021 security patch, which brings fixes for 38 CVEs from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung.

Identified via PDA version number – F907BXXS5EUG1, the Galaxy Fold 5G’s August 2021 security update is initially rolling out in the UK. Since it’s a gradual rollout, the company will soon extend its reach to other markets.

Launched back in September 2019, the Galaxy Fold is Samsung’s first-generation foldable smartphone that was shipped with an Android 9-based One UI 1.x software system. Later on, the company delivered two major updates including Android 10 and Android 11.

A few days back, it’s reported that Samsung has started the Android 12 development on the Galaxy S21 flagship series and it could launch the One UI 4.0 Beta for developers in September, followed by public Beta in October.

  • Open device Settings
  • Scroll down and tap on Software updates
  • Hit the Download and install button.
