Around four years ago, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note Fan Edition as its new affordable flagship smartphone. It came with an Android 7-based Samsung Experience pre-installed.

Now, the South Korean tech giant started sending a new s/w update to the Galaxy Note Fan Edition smartphones, which brings system security improvements by installing the latest May 2021 security patch.

According to Samsung, the May 2021’s security update fixes 3 critical, 24 high, and 17 moderate CVEs. At the same time, this new OTA enhances the system functions for a better overall user experience.

So far, the company released these new security improvements to various Galaxies such as Galaxy S21, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy A51, and Galaxy S9 over the air.

Identified via release number: N935KKKU4CUD1, the Galaxy Note FE’s May 2021 security update making its way to the South Korean market. We are expecting that it will soon be expanded to other regions as well.

You can check for the updates manually by operating to your device Settings, scroll down and pick the Software updates section, and finally tap on Download and install.
