Samsung’s 65W fast charger completes BIS certification of India

Earlier this year, reports surfaced online suggesting that Samsung has a 65W fast charger in the works. The adapter has a model number TA-865 and suitable for the Galaxy S20 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, Fold, and other mobile phones, using a USB-C output interface.

Later on, this charging adapter cleared the TUV SUD certification, which revealed its model number EP-TA865. The certification exposed that this charger supports a maximum capacity of 20V or 3.25A. Now, as per the latest information, Samsung’s unreleased charger having the same model number completed India’s BIS certification.

After getting approval from the Bureau of Indian Standards, we can expect the South Korean tech giant will soon release this charger in the near future. It’s worth mentioning that various smartphone makers had already introduced their phones with up to 65W fast charging support.

As per the technical standards, the 65W fast charger can fully charge compatible Galaxy devices in just 30 minutes. Moreover, it is expected that it could charge the Galaxy laptops and will available as an additional accessory.

Lastly, Samsung has not yet revealed anything about its upcoming devices or accessories. We’ve to wait until an official confirmation arrives. We’ll keep you posted whenever any development comes on this matter.
