Back in December 2020, Samsung announced the beta testing activity for the Galaxy M31 and Galaxy A51 phones, first time for non-flagship phones. However, this activity was limited to only India and South Korea for each model.

After getting a number of beta updates, the Galaxy M31 smartphone has received the stable Android 11 and One UI 3.0 update in January 2021. Moreover, the company has surprisingly rolled out the One UI 3.1 features for this popular budget handset earlier this month.

As per the latest information, the Korean tech giant started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy M31 users in India. It bears a build version M315FXXU2BUC8 and comes with a package size of more than 500MB.

However, the changelog only shows camera stability repairs but the big size of this OTA itself clears that it brings major camera performance improvements. Moreover, it can also offer some additional camera features and enhancements to the older ones.

With the One UI 3.1, the Galaxy M31 has already received the March 2021 security patch. Meanwhile, this FOTA again included the same security patch alongside some unknown bug fixes and enhanced system functions.

If you want to check for the update manually, just head into the device Settings, select the Software update menu, and tap on the Download and install option.
