Launched back in 2019, Samsung Galaxy A80 features an innovative rotating pop-up camera in order to offer a full view display. However, this device has not gained huge popularity even after having a unique camera functionality. In terms of software, it came pre-installed with Android 9 based One UI 1.x and further updated to the Android 10-based One UI 2.5.

According to the latest information, the company pushed a new software update for the Galaxy A80 smartphones in France which can be identified via release number A805FXXU5DUC7. Along with the latest Android 11-based One UI 3.1, this firmware also installs the March 2021 security patch for better device protection.

It is worth mentioning that Samsung has revised its Android upgrade policy and committed to delivering three generations of the Android OS to every flagship as well as some mid-rangers – Galaxy A51, A71, and A90 5G. Surprisingly, the company has not listed the Galaxy A80 for three Android updates eligibility so the Android 11 is the last major update for this handset.

Note: Since it’s an initial rollout so it may take some time to be cover every single Galaxy A80 handset.
