Samsung launches high-performance PM9A3 U.2 SSD

Moving on, the company has recently launched a new generation of high-performance solid-state hard drives—PM9A3 U.2.

The new SSD equips Samsung’s sixth-generation 3D flash memory (V-NAND) technology, based on the NVMe protocol, fully complies with the Open Computing Project (OCP) NVMe cloud solid-state drive specification.

Samsung PM9A3 U.2 can meet the needs of the data center in terms of performance, power efficiency, and reliability Provide high-level solutions in terms of security and safety. Its 4K steady-state random read performance is 1100K IOPS, and the sequential read speed is 6900MB/s, which is 2.2x faster than the previous generation.

On the other hand, compared with the previous generation products, the energy efficiency ratio has been improved by 61%, in the sequential write performance. The new PM9A3 U.2 supports PCIe 4.0 and specially created by Samsung Semiconductor for Chinese data center customers.
