December 2020 security patch rolling out for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Tab S7 [AT&T]

AT&T has started sending new software updates for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Tab S7 devices in the US. This firmware update comes with the latest December 2020 security patch which brings system security improvements.

In addition, the latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Tab S7 adds system stability enhancements as well as fixes some bugs for a better user experience.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2

Software versions and package size:

  • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 – F916USQS1BTK4 (277MB)
  • Samsung Tab S7 – T878USQS1ATK1 (221MB)

One UI 3.0 update schedule:

As per the official One UI 3.0 update schedule for the Galaxy Z Fold 2, this device will start getting an Android 11 based One UI 3.0 upgrade starting January 2021.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S7 tablets are listed to get the Android 11 version update from April next year. Meanwhile, AT&T has not released its own roadmap of the One UI 3.0 update rollout for Samsung Galaxy devices.

One UI 3.0 is based on Android 11 that comes with several new changes in the user interface that reflects on the notification panel, app drawer, Settings menu, lock screen, and for improved the user experience.
