Samsung One UI 7.0 (Android 15) – Eligible Devices, Release Date, Features, Galaxy AI and More
Samsung Galaxy owners are eagerly anticipating the One UI 7.0 (Android 15) arrival. This page helps you find out which devices are eligible, what new features are included, and how Galaxy AI enhances the experience.
Samsung One UI 7.0 (Android 15)
Samsung held this year’s Developer Conference on October 3. The company officially introduced the One UI 7.0 on the first day of the conference. We anticipate the Public rollout will kick off within a month of the Galaxy S25 series unveiling.
As confirmed by Samsung, the Beta testing activity will commence by the end of the year. The company, this year, is not in a hurry to kick off the Beta. Developers are working on further refinements to offer a Stable-like experience in Beta.
Eligible Devices
Flagship phones including the Galaxy S21 series and later are eligible for the One UI 7 upgrade. Besides, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3 (and later foldables) will also receive a major firmware upgrade later this year.
Samsung’s list of One UI 7 update isn’t out yet. However, our team has compiled a nearly final list that contains all the Galaxy phones, foldables, and tablets getting upgraded to the latest Android 15 operating system.
Release Date
Samsung flagships may start getting One UI 7 update in the first quarter of the next year. The initial rollout could start for the S24 series, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6. Several Galaxy flagships might receive the Stable One UI 7 upgrade by the end of February 2025, such as:
- Galaxy S23 series (FE too)
- Galaxy S22 series
- Galaxy S21 series (FE too)
- Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5
- Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4
- Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3
This isn’t a final roadmap that the Galaxy maker will follow in the update rollout. The update plan is based on the current stage of Samsung’s software development. We wish Samsung could open One UI 7 for all devices within this year for all eligible devices.
Changes, Features
Samsung hinted at a major breakthrough in the One UI part. Your Galaxy’s Android 15 upgrade will introduce a completely revamped UI. It could bring a feature set expansion, architectural shifts, as well as functional optimization.
Anticipations are there that Samsung may debut a new design language or philosophy. A more immersive and visually rich experience would surely be in focus. Clouds of uncertainties will clear as soon as the Beta Program kicks off.
Galaxy AI
Debuted with the S24 series, Samsung’s Galaxy AI was refreshed in July with the latest foldables. One UI 6.1.1-based AI features also arriving on older models, with One UI 7 also boasting new useful features for Galaxy devices.
One UI 7 will carry groundbreaking AI features that could redefine smartphone usage. Bixby assistant may also integrate advanced AI capabilities. It will be interesting to see what new features and tricks Samsung has in its bag.
