Samsung Clock in One UI 9.5 introduces new UI changes over One UI 9 [Gallery]
Samsung Clock app’s user interface is getting refreshed in the Android 17-based One UI 9.5. The native clock and alarm application is set for minor visual changes and accessibility tweaks rather than a massive graphical overhaul.
After revealing Samsung Calendar and Samsung Health upgrades, SamMobile has now revealed the Samsung Clock app of the upcoming One UI 9.5 software.
Here is the breakdown of the UI changes in the Samsung Clock app moving from One UI 9 to One UI 9.5:
1. Alarm Page
Top Text Countdown: The time remaining reads “Alarm in 9 hours 7 minutes” in One UI 9, whereas One UI 9.5 changes it to “Alarm in 9 hours 8 minutes” due to the minute progression.
Alarm Card Redesign (Top-most card):
In One UI 9, the active alarm card is larger, featuring an icon and the time (05:30) on the left, with the days (MTWTFSS) below it and a toggle switch on the right.
In One UI 9.5, this top card is redesigned into a compact horizontal layout split into two distinct side-by-side blocks (showing a moon icon with 22:00 on the left and a sun icon with 05:30 on the right) with the days listed underneath the left section.
Overflow Menu Icon: A vertical three-dot overflow menu button has been added next to the + (add alarm) button in the upper-right section of One UI 9.5.

2. World clock page
The cities displayed are reordered and reformatted. In One UI 9, London is on top and Amsterdam is below. In One UI 9.5, Amsterdam is moved to the top position, and London is shifted down.
- Top toolbar icons: The top action bar adds a new icon next to the + add button in One UI 9.5.
- Background map texture: A subtle dark outline map of Europe/regions is integrated into the background of One UI 9.5, which is absent in One UI 9.

3. Time Zone Converter Page
City card layout and order: The layout changes from a three-card stack showing Local time, Amsterdam, and London (One UI 9) to a reordered stack showing Local time, London, and Amsterdam (One UI 9.5).
- Top Toolbar Icons: Similar to the World clock page, a vertical three-dot menu icon is added next to the + button in One UI 9.5.
- Background and Slider UI: The background gradient has a smoother, lighter-dark tone in One UI 9.5, and the bottom horizontal time-offset slider has minor visual padding/tick adjustments.
4. Earth Globe / Sphere Page
Control Layout Shift:
- In One UI 9, the search icon and target/location icon are placed together at the top-right corner of the screen.
- In One UI 9.5, these icons are removed from the top and relocated to the bottom-right corner as floating circular buttons.
Branding Placement: The “powered by The Weather Channel” logo is shifted slightly or rendered more cleanly at the bottom-left corner across the versions.
