The best-selling phone in Brazil was an unexpected Samsung Galaxy

Samsung has another budget Galaxy quietly making a big impact in an important smartphone market. The Galaxy A07 4G was the best-selling phone in Brazil during the first half of 2026, according to the latest Counterpoint Research data.

The result is notable because Brazil’s smartphone market is currently under pressure. Counterpoint says shipments fell 11% year over year in H1 2026, with weaker domestic production and more cautious consumer spending contributing to the decline.

Galaxy A07 leads Brazil’s smartphone market

Galaxy A07 4G captured 8.3% of Brazil’s overall market between January and June, maintaining the No. 1 position it has held since December 2025. The five best-selling models collectively represented 29% of the market during the period.

The phone’s success is closely tied to Brazil’s preference for affordable devices. Smartphones priced below $249 accounted for 78% of the market in H1 2026, while the $100-$249 segment expanded significantly.

Samsung’s Galaxy A07 fits directly into this demand.

The device offers up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, alongside a 6.7-inch display, 50MP camera and IP54 protection. Samsung also promises up to six years of Android and security updates, giving the entry-level phone an unusually long software lifespan.

With memory-related price increases expected to add further pressure to smartphone pricing, affordable Galaxy models could become even more important for Samsung in Brazil during the second half of 2026.
