Samsung showcases 2027 Odyssey lineup with 1,100Hz and 680Hz gaming monitors at Gamescom
Samsung has used Gamescom 2026 to give gamers an early look at its 2027 Odyssey monitor lineup, with refresh rates reaching an eye-catching 1,100Hz.
Samsung’s 2027 Odyssey lineup
The highlight is the 27-inch Odyssey G6, which Samsung calls the world’s first 1,100Hz gaming monitor. Its Fast IPS panel can run at up to 1,100Hz in HD resolution, while QHD mode supports up to 600Hz. A 1ms response time also keeps the display focused on competitive gaming, particularly fast-paced FPS titles.
Samsung is also bringing higher refresh rates to OLED. The 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 uses a fifth-generation QD-OLED panel with Penta Tandem technology and supports three modes: UHD at 360Hz, QHD at 520Hz and FHD at 680Hz. That gives users the option to prioritize image quality or frame rates depending on the game and hardware.
The lineup also includes the 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9, offering Dual QHD resolution at 360Hz, while its Dual Mode can reach 720Hz. Meanwhile, the 42-inch OLED G7 introduces a large 1000R curved OLED format designed for a more immersive gaming experience.
Alongside the hardware, Samsung is expanding HDR10+ GAMING support to more than 20 AAA games by the first half of 2027, including Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 through its partnership with Activision Blizzard.
The new Odyssey monitors will be available across different markets, with pricing and exact launch timing still to be announced.
