Samsung releases August 2026 update in more regions for Galaxy S26, S25, S24, and more

Following the initial drop in South Korea, the August 2026 One UI update is expanding to Samsung Galaxy phones in more regions.

Samsung’s August patch addresses a total of 58 vulnerability items. Samsung detailed the patch contents earlier this month, confirming 38 Android-specific CVE items and 18 One UI-specific SVE items for all Galaxy devices.

If you own a mid-range Galaxy device or an older flagship phone, the August patch may not be available. This is because of your device’s current eligibility criteria, which you can verify in the latest roadmap shared by Samsung.

Which Samsung phones are getting the August 2026 update globally?

Samsung is prioritizing its top-tier flagship lineup. The August update is landing first on Galaxy S and Galaxy Z series phones. Select Galaxy A series devices would also receive their latest software update, even though August is about to end.

How to download and install

Samsung users can update Galaxy software through Settings. Open system Settings on your Galaxy device, followed by Software update. Now, tap Download and install to let your phone connect to the server to fetch a new OTA update.
