Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra leak suggests a major performance boost over S11 Ultra

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could be faster than the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. An early Geekbench 7 test has given us an idea of what to expect from the new tablet.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, with model number SM-X940, scored 2,760 points in the single-core test and 9,291 points in the multi-core test. The tested tablet had 12GB of RAM and was running Android 17.

The main change could be the processor. Samsung is expected to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip in the new tablet. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra uses the Dimensity 9400 Plus.

Even though the new chip is not a “Plus” model, it could still be more powerful. The Dimensity 9500 has one main CPU core that can reach 4.21GHz. The Dimensity 9400 Plus has a top speed of 3.73GHz.

The Geekbench results also show a clear improvement. The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra scored about 2,281 points in single-core testing and 8,005 points in multi-core testing. Based on these results, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could be around 21% faster in single-core performance and about 16% faster in multi-core performance.

The new tablet could open apps faster, handle many tasks more smoothly, and offer better performance in demanding games. These are still early test results, so the final performance may be different. Samsung has not officially confirmed all the details yet.

However, if the leaked results are accurate, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra could be a noticeable upgrade over the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
