Reminder: Official One UI 9.0 and One UI 9.0 Watch unveiling today

The day has finally arrived: Samsung’s One UI 9.0 and One UI 9.0 Watch official updates will be unveiled today at the Galaxy Unpacked event in London. The version will come in two different iterations, targeting two different segments: foldable phones and smartwatches.

One UI 9.0 for mobile and One UI 9.0 Watch for wearable will go official today. The company is set to begin the Unpacked keynote at 2 PM BST in London. Fans around the world can watch the event live through Samsung Newsroom, Facebook, and YouTube.

One UI 9.0 official update reveal is finally here

Samsung has been testing One UI 9 Beta since May 2026. Almost three months have passed since the Korean tech giant began the public Beta Program. The official version will be introduced today, and the rollout begins in early August.

Not everyone is interested in purchasing the expensive foldable phones. A specific fanbase has high hopes for the next-gen wearable devices. Meanwhile, the software part is what everyone is eyeing, which affects all users.

One UI 9.0 will debut advanced Agentic AI capabilities. The system won’t just help you get tasks done, but think and curate the experience for you. It will try to predict the next action based on your usual usage patterns.

Galaxy Watch is getting on-device AI capabilities for the first time. It will arrive as part of Snapdragon Wear Elite chip’s adoption. Samsung dropped Exynos W chip in favor of Qualcomm’s Wear series processor.

While the official reveal takes place today, Samsung is likely to keep running the Beta Program. Users of the Galaxy S26 series may receive more Beta updates. The testing phase may expand to even more models after Unpacked.

Galaxy Watch users, on the other hand, are also awaiting the One UI Watch Beta. It hasn’t started yet, but highly likely to be available soon. Galaxy Watch 5 and later models are eligible for a free upgrade to Wear OS 7.
