Leaked: Official One UI 9 introduces 3D floating Quick Settings panel
Samsung has a massive upgrade to the Quick Settings panel in the One UI 9 official version. Foldable phone users are going to wholeheartedly welcome this interface tweak. It’s a great step toward making the One UI software even more dynamic and lively.
A leaked press render of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 wide model revealed an exciting visual. Samsung has crafted a floating Quick Settings panel in the One UI 9 official version.
One UI 9 introduces floating Quick Settings
Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Ultra will launch preinstalled with One UI 9. The new software introduces full experience, which Samsung pledged in May 2026. While features are yet to be revealed, a critical UI component has been revealed.
Samsung’s Stable Android 17 software makes the Quick Settings panel float. Swiping down on the screen will still expand Quick Settings. However, the function won’t occupy the entire screen estate as it does in One UI 8.5.
The image shows a carefully crafted Quick panel for foldable phones. It does offer the full settings toggles and cards without occupying the full UI.

Additionally, the clever application of blur and shadow gives it a depth effect. The background of the quick panel blends nicely with the wallpaper applied to the home screen.
Samsung’s design aesthetics make sure the quick settings appear like they are floating on the screen. It’s a step forward in Samsung’s continuous push to phase out the flat user interface in favor of a more lively design.
