Samsung’s July 2026 update rolling out to Galaxy A series phones
Samsung’s bringing 57 patches to Galaxy A phones with its July 2026 update. The initial rollout has begun in mid-July, starting with the Galaxy A55 smartphone. The company is gradually expanding its latest security OTA to even more eligible devices.
July update comes with patches for both Android and One UI. Samsung included 41 patches (CVE items) from Google’s Android bulletin. Additionally, the SMR has 16 patches (SVE items) for Galaxy’s One UI software system.
July 2026 update reached these Samsung Galaxy A phones
Samsung has rolled out the latest update to these devices so far:
- Galaxy A56
- Galaxy A55
- Galaxy A35
- Galaxy A25
The majority of Galaxy A phones receive updates every quarter. If your device has received the last update in April or May, the July patch is highly likely to be available.
However, it’s not the case for every Galaxy A-series phone, as select premium models are listed on Samsung’s monthly frequency list, offering flagship-grade treatment.
Updates are made available to eligible models sequentially. The rollout usually begins in South Korea and then expands to more markets, including India, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

One UI 9 goes official this month
Samsung is set to reveal the official One UI 9 software later this month. The new version will ship with the company’s next foldable phones. The official rollout will begin early next month when the new models go on sale globally.
Users of existing devices will need to wait further. The expansion to older models could begin by the end of August or the beginning of September. As for the non-premium Galaxy A phones, the September timeline makes sense.
