Samsung reveals Galaxy S23 series Green Line display repair policy: Report
Got a green, pink, or white line on your phone’s screen? No need to worry. Samsung may offer you a free screen repair, as the company has reportedly extended the line on display policy coverage to the Galaxy S23 series.
OnePlus is the only OEM that admitted green line as an industry-wide problem. Samsung also, behind closed doors, admits the line on display is a quality issue as OLED screens develop a thin vertical line after two years of usage.
A viral chat screenshot reveals that Samsung India has extended its line on display report policy, now covering the Galaxy S23 series as well. The company has set the deadline for this policy as December 31, 2025 – that’s satisfactory.
Over the past couple of weeks, the line-on-display issue has intensified among Galaxy S23 series users. Samsung will provide you with a display replacement if your device qualifies for some basic requirements within the deadline.
New eligible models:
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23 Plus
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
Requirements for free screen replacement:
- Device purchased within three years
- Has no physical damage
- Pass the authorized service center inspection

If your phone’s screen has a green, pink, or white line, visit the nearest Samsung service center and request a replacement. You are eligible for a free repair on a qualifying model if it passes the inspection by technicians.
Our readers complain that Samsung support pledges free repair even after expired warranty has expired, but service center staff reject such claims. If you come to meet such a situation, reach out to Samsung over the phone or email.
Note that your phone won’t be eligible if it has any physical or water damage. A job sheet will be created and made available to you at your registered email. Do share it with Samsung support to escalate the replacement demand.
