Samsung Health app bringing next-level tracking features – Check What’s on the way

Samsung Health is getting even better with new health tracking features on your Galaxy devices. Samsung is going to add advanced health tools like Antioxidant Index, Vascular Load, and more to make this app a smarter companion.
Thanks to a reliable tip, @theordysm, we now know that new features are coming soon to help users track their health more easily and in smarter ways. These features will be available under the Labs section of the app, where Samsung lets users try new tools before they’re officially launched. Let’s explore these features.
Antioxidant Index:
The Antioxidant Index is a new tool that helps you check if you’re getting enough fruits and vegetables in your diet. It works by tracking the balance between antioxidants and free radicals in your body. Antioxidants help reduce “oxidative stress,” which can affect your health over time.
This tool will help you track how your diet is supporting your body and can guide you to make better food choices.

Vascular Load:
Vascular Load is a tool that helps you check the pressure or stress on your blood vessels. This can give you an idea of how your heart and blood system are doing.
To use it properly, you’ll need to wear your Galaxy Watch while sleeping for at least three nights. This sets a baseline for tracking changes. Once your baseline is set, the app shows if your daily vascular load is going up or down.

You can also learn how things like sleep, stress, and food affect your results. This tool is for people with heart problems. If you’ve been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease or are recovering from surgery, be sure to follow your doctor’s treatment plan.
Running Coach:Â
Samsung is also testing a new Running Coach to help users run smarter and reach their goals. Start with a 12-minute run to check your current fitness level. Then choose from 160+ training plans made just for your needs.
These training programs can help improve your speed, strength, and overall performance. During your runs, the app gives real-time coaching, including tips on your running form, pace alerts, and encouragement.

All these features are now available for testing on the Samsung Health app. Soon, Samsung will make these features available for all Galaxy devices.

Samsung confirms LockStar widget bug fix for Galaxy devices

Samsung is working on a new update to fix some widget-related issues in the LockStar Good Lock module. Some Galaxy users have reported bugs and missing features, and Samsung has now responded.
The big issue that users are facing in the Samsung LockStar app is lock screen widgets. Users have shared that when they set a widget on the lock screen using LockStar, it disappears after they restart their phone.
Because of this issue, they have to go back to the settings and set it up again every time. This has been frustrating for several users who use LockStar to customize their lock screen.
A Samsung community moderator confirmed the widget problem and said there is a bug where widget settings in LockStar are not saved after restarting the phone. For that, Samsung has promised to fix this in a future update to the LockStar app.
Aside from this, users also reported the missing gesture. Before, users could open some apps by swiping to the bottom corner of the screen. That gesture has now been removed.
Notably, Samsung replaced it with a long press on the right button. But many users already use that button for other features. Because of this, they are asking Samsung to bring the old gesture back.
However, Samsung has not said anything yet about bringing back the swipe gesture. Many users are hoping that Samsung will give more options in future updates to make LockStar easier and more flexible to use.
Stay tuned for the next update, which should make things better on Samsung LockStar.

Samsung phones about to get new Google Messages with cleaner UI

Samsung phone users may soon receive a small but useful update in the Google Messages app. Google is working to separate the Camera and Gallery options in the Messages app to make the interface more organized.
In the latest beta version of the app, Google has made a change that separates the Camera and Gallery buttons of Google Messages. This could make the app look better and easier to use.
Earlier, when you tapped the Plus icon while chatting, you saw one option, Gallery. This would open a screen where you could take a photo with the camera and also see your recent pictures below. It was handy but sometimes confusing if you only wanted to use the camera or pick a photo.
Now, in the beta version, Google has added two separate buttons, one for Camera and one for Gallery. If you tap the Gallery button, you will only see photos and videos already on your phone. If you tap the Camera button, it opens the camera view, just like before, but also shows your recent photos below it for quick access.

This update is currently under development in the beta version of Google Messages, and it’s not yet available to everyone. However, Google hasn’t confirmed when it will be available for everyone. But if it works well, it could be rolled out to all users, including those on Samsung phones.
Even though this is a small update, it helps make the app easier to use and saves time when sharing photos or videos in chats. Samsung users who use Google Messages may soon enjoy a cleaner and simpler messaging experience. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung Software Update app’s latest update brings new visually rich icon

Samsung has just released a new update for its Software Update app, which brings a new app icon. The latest update comes with version 4.4.08 for Galaxy devices.
The Software Update app is used to install the latest firmware and system updates on Galaxy phones and tablets. With this new update, Samsung has made the app better with a new look.
The fresh update of the Samsung Software update app arrives with a new app icon. The old icon had a circular arrow inside a white square, which looked more like a refresh symbol. Now, the new icon shows a downward arrow inside a white box, with a progress bar below it.
This new design clearly shows that the app is meant for downloading and installing updates. It has a darker blue background, which gives it a cleaner and more modern look. It helps users easily recognize what the app is used for just by looking at it.
Besides the new icon, Samsung has also made some minor changes to the app. The update fixes minor bugs and improves the app’s performance. Through this, the app should now run more smoothly and feel more stable.
If you have a Galaxy device, you can download the update by opening the Galaxy Store, tapping on the Menu button, and then selecting Updates. Install the update now to enjoy a new look. This small but useful update helps improve the overall experience of software updates on Samsung Galaxy devices.

Samsung will fix a major One UI 7 bug with One UI 8 update

Samsung is planning to improve the Toast History feature within the Nice Catch Good Lock module suite with One UI 8 support. This feature helps users see a list of small pop-up messages that appear on their phones.
In the One UI 7 software, many users noticed a problem with this feature. Instead of showing the full message in the toast notification history, it only shows which app sent the toast. The actual message content is missing.
Previously, users could view the text content of toast notifications. But this functionality is not working as previously, causing inconvenience.
Notably, the Toast History feature in Nice Catch is designed to provide users with a list of all toast notifications that have appeared on their device. Toasts are small, temporary pop-up messages that apps use to deliver brief information. This is useful for checking what notifications have appeared or for fixing problems with apps.

For that, a community moderator has explained that there was a problem with getting the toast message history in One UI 7. Samsung is aware of this and says they will fix it with One UI 8 support.
The moderator mentioned that the company plans to resolve the Toast History issue and reintroduce full toast content visibility with the support of One UI 8 for Nice Catch.
Users can expect a more reliable and detailed Toast History function in One UI 8. The company is working to restore the ability to view the full text of each toast notification. It is expected that Samsung will soon make the Nice Catch module compatible with One UI 8.
At the moment, the latest foldable users are enjoying the One UI 8 features. However, Galaxy S25 series users are also testing them, but through the One UI Beta Program. The company will soon start the One UI 8 rollout for older Galaxy devices. Stay tuned.
