Tapping and holding the “brightness slider” expands a bigger Brightness menu. It retains the brightness slider to adjust the screen brightness and a switch to Adaptive brightness.

Sound and effects

You can access the expanded Sound and effects by tapping and holding the “audio slider.” Unlike the Brightness section, the Sound and effects page has many useful adjustment tools, including:

• Speaker volume slider
• Dolby Atmos > Off, Auto, Movie, Music and Voice
• Equalizer > Balanced, Bass boost, Smooth, Dynamic, Clear, Treble boost and Custom
• Loudness normalization

Beyond the four options within the Sound and effects page, the Dolby Atmos and Equalizer drop-down menus feature quick additional options. These include:

These two dedicated sections are super useful as they open on the fly. Tapping and holding the Dark mode or Audio buttons redirects to their root pages within Settings, making it less effortless than the expanded pages from sliders.

Samsung officially launched its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, at the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event. These new devices come with the latest software, One UI 8, based on Android 16. Along with many new improvements and features, One UI 8 introduces two powerful photo editing tools that take mobile photography to the next level.

These exciting new tools of One UI 8 have been added to Samsung’s Galaxy Enhance-X photo editing app. The two new features are Focus Shift and Crop & Upscale. They are designed to help users create professional-like photos with just a few taps.

Let’s know these new photo editing features in detail:

Focus Shift

The Focus Shift feature lets you change the focus of your photo with just one tap. Simply touch the subject you want to highlight, and the app will make that part of the image clear and sharp, while softly blurring the background.

It gives your photo a decent depth effect and makes your subject stand out. It’s perfect for portrait photos, product shots, or any picture where you want to draw attention to one part.

Crop & Upscale

Crop & Upscale uses smart AI technology to zoom in and improve the quality of your photos. You can crop any part of your image, and the app will increase the size and sharpness, up to 5 times the resolution.

It means you can zoom in without losing clarity. This feature makes your photos look clean and detailed even after cropping.

These two tools are available now in the Galaxy Enhance-X app version 15.3.06. But they only live on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 for now.

Samsung has confirmed that these features will be rolled out to other Galaxy devices starting after July 30 through app updates. However, the exact Samsung model details are still unclear. Stay tuned for more information.

Android devices regularly receive new Google Play System Updates, which Samsung users may have been missing in One UI 8 Beta. With users reporting issues updating the Play System version, Samsung moderators confirmed it’s not a bug.

Samsung and Google have agreed to disable the Play System Updates function in the One UI 8 Beta Program. Users are still able to download and update their apps from the Play Store, and app scanning features are also active.

So if you have faced problems like “Updates are temporarily unavailable. Try again later.” – It’s not a bug. The deactivation of these updates is intentional and temporary, with the official build will surely resume Play System Updates.

The Beta moderator also confirmed that there’s no need to worry about security and privacy. Google Play System Updates are indeed disabled, but the system is still protected as before, as it includes built-in Play System patches.
