Samsung is working on a new update to fix some widget-related issues in the LockStar Good Lock module. Some Galaxy users have reported bugs and missing features, and Samsung has now responded.

The big issue that users are facing in the Samsung LockStar app is lock screen widgets. Users have shared that when they set a widget on the lock screen using LockStar, it disappears after they restart their phone.

Because of this issue, they have to go back to the settings and set it up again every time. This has been frustrating for several users who use LockStar to customize their lock screen.

A Samsung community moderator confirmed the widget problem and said there is a bug where widget settings in LockStar are not saved after restarting the phone. For that, Samsung has promised to fix this in a future update to the LockStar app.

Aside from this, users also reported the missing gesture. Before, users could open some apps by swiping to the bottom corner of the screen. That gesture has now been removed.

Notably, Samsung replaced it with a long press on the right button. But many users already use that button for other features. Because of this, they are asking Samsung to bring the old gesture back.

However, Samsung has not said anything yet about bringing back the swipe gesture. Many users are hoping that Samsung will give more options in future updates to make LockStar easier and more flexible to use.

Samsung Good Lock modules

Samsung is planning to improve the Toast History feature within the Nice Catch Good Lock module suite with One UI 8 support. This feature helps users see a list of small pop-up messages that appear on their phones.

In the One UI 7 software, many users noticed a problem with this feature. Instead of showing the full message in the toast notification history, it only shows which app sent the toast. The actual message content is missing.

Previously, users could view the text content of toast notifications. But this functionality is not working as previously, causing inconvenience.

Notably, the Toast History feature in Nice Catch is designed to provide users with a list of all toast notifications that have appeared on their device. Toasts are small, temporary pop-up messages that apps use to deliver brief information. This is useful for checking what notifications have appeared or for fixing problems with apps.

The moderator mentioned that the company plans to resolve the Toast History issue and reintroduce full toast content visibility with the support of One UI 8 for Nice Catch.

Users can expect a more reliable and detailed Toast History function in One UI 8. The company is working to restore the ability to view the full text of each toast notification. It is expected that Samsung will soon make the Nice Catch module compatible with One UI 8.

Moreover, this update brings the latest stabilization code. While Samsung didn’t give many details, this usually means the app will run more smoothly, with fewer bugs and crashes.

Users should notice a more stable and reliable experience when using Pentastic after updating. You can download the update easily from the Galaxy Store >> Menu option >> Updates. Also, you can download the update from the Good Lock app itself.

This update helps make sure only compatible devices use the app, and it also improves performance. If you use the S Pen often, keeping Pentastic updated will give you a better experience.
