Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Fold6 Size Comparison

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is shaping up to be a notable upgrade over the Z Fold6 as recent mockups and leaks reveal changes in dimensions and screen size, hinting at a refined design.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 measures 153.5 mm tall, 132.6 mm wide, and 5.6 mm thick when unfolded. When folded, it’s 153.5 mm tall, 68.1 mm wide, and 12.1 mm thick. Its cover screen is 6.3 inches, and the inner screen is 7.6 inches.

Unfolded, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 will likely measure 158.4 mm tall, 143.1 mm wide, and an impressive 3.9 mm thin. Folded, it retains the 158.4 mm height, with a width of 73.4 mm and a thickness of 8.9 mm.

The Galaxy Z Fold7’s cover screen is rumored to be 6.5 inches, up from 6.3 inches on the Z Fold6. The inner screen grows to 8.2 inches, compared to the Z Fold6’s 7.6-inch panel, promising more display space.

The Z Fold7’s thinner profile could make it easier to carry, while larger screens enhance productivity; however, these specs are based on leaks, so final details may vary.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6

Samsung is getting ready to launch new foldable phones next month at its big Unpacked event. Along with the new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung is also planning to introduce its first Fan Edition (FE) foldable phone. Right now, the Galaxy Z Flip FE smartphone has appeared on the FCC platform.

The new FE model is expected to be a more affordable version of the Galaxy Z Flip. The phone, with the model number SM-F761U, has just been approved by the US FCC on June 9. This means it has passed important tests and can now be sold in the US.

According to the FCC listing, the Galaxy Z Flip FE will support Wi-Fi 6e, many 5G bands (including n5, n7, n12, n25, n26, n30, n41, n66, n70, n71, n77, n78), wireless charging, and NFC. This means it will work with Google Pay and Samsung Pay.

Massive 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 leak has a harsh twist for Samsung users

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

There are a bunch of leaks and rumors about Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 chip, which will land later next year. It sounds like a game-changer, but Samsung fans might face some headaches with the Galaxy S27.

A juicy rumor from Chinese leaker DCS reveals plenty of info about the Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 chipset. The input also helps us speculate on Samsung’s potential steps for the Galaxy S27 series, slated for an early 2027 launch.

Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 – Two variants

Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 could come in two versions, kind of like Apple’s A and A Pro chips. These, maybe model numbered SM8950 and SM8945, would offer different power levels for the flagship phones of the future.

These chips are supposed to use TSMC’s new 2nm tech, which should make phones faster and save battery compared to the current 3nm chips. But there’s a catch, especially for folks excited about Samsung’s Galaxy S27 series.

Expect pricier Galaxy S27

TSMC’s cutting-edge 2nm process tech isn’t cheap, with rumors saying a single unit could cost way more than current chips. That kind of price jump could make phones like the Galaxy S27 series pricier when it goes official.

The South Korean tech giant might struggle to keep costs down with the new Snapdragon processor. So, when the Galaxy S27 hits stores, you might notice a bigger price tag, since companies often pass those costs to buyers.

Galaxy S27 – Chip split

TSMC’s 2nm chips are expected to be significantly expensive, so Samsung might not put the Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 in every Galaxy S27. Expect non-Ultra models to utilize in-house Exynos chips, probably the Exynos 2700.

This processor split approach might mean some Galaxy S27 models perform differently depending on where you buy them. If you’re a Qualcomm fan, that could be annoying, since Samsung’s done this Exynos-Snapdragon split before.

Samsung fails in securing Qualcomm orders

Reports suggest that TSMC’s got an edge with 60% yields on 2nm, while Samsung’s closer to 30%. That gap might make it tough for Samsung to land big Qualcomm deals for now.

Meanwhile, a recent report claimed that Samsung and Qualcomm are in talks to manufacture the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 on a 2nm process in 2H26 to power the foldable phones.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Teaser

Samsung’s next foldables are almost here, and some fresh info just popped up that gives us a sneak peek at what to expect. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 phone has just appeared on the US FCC website, revealing some cool details.

The FCC listing shows the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. If you didn’t know, this is a super fast and powerful chip as it is the same one Samsung used in its latest Galaxy S25 series. So, the Z Fold 7 will likely be quick, smooth, and great for gaming or multitasking.

In addition, the listing also shows different model numbers like SM-F966W, SM-F966U1, and SM-F966U. These probably mean Samsung will release versions of the phone in different countries.

In addition to the processor, the listing confirms the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will support many useful features. It will have 18 different 5G bands and NFC support. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging will be available. It also supports ultrawide band (UWB) technology, which helps with precise location tracking.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7  will reportedly feature the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 200MP main camera, and Android 16-based One UI 8. It will support 25W wired charging and come with a slightly smaller 4,272mAh battery than its predecessor.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in July 2025, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE. Stay tuned.

Galaxy S25 Qi1 charing

A new rumor says Samsung is gearing up to give the Galaxy S26 Ultra a solid battery boost. Recent leaks hint that the company might adopt silicon batteries to outsmart the old troubles like the Note 7 mess, promising safer performance.

Leaker Sawyer Galox is dropping hints on X (formerly Twitter) that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra could pack a battery between 5500mAh and 6000mAh. That’s a nice jump from the 5000mAh in the S25 Ultra, giving us more screen time to enjoy.

Well, Samsung’s move might also hinge on what Apple does. If the iPhone 17 gets silicon batteries, Samsung could jump on board for the S26 series. This friendly rivalry might just push both companies to offer this cool new battery tech.

The Korean tech giant is working hard to balance power and safety with this new approach. Silicon batteries can hold more energy but need careful handling. Samsung’s careful steps show they’re determined to leave past mistakes behind.

Samsung has taken a big lesson from the Note 7 days, when batteries sparked fires. Now, the company is taking it slow, testing silicon batteries thoroughly to get it right. The early results are looking good, and we might see them in the S26 lineup.

Camera upgrades unlikely

Samsung might reuse the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera setup in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The 3x Telephoto, 5x Periscope, and 50MP ultrawide sensors may be used in next year’s Ultra flagship smartphone.

Meanwhile, another leak pointed out that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might get an enhanced version of ISOCELL HP2, retaining the same 200-megapixel resolution but bringing notable improvements to photography capabilities.

Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus, on the other hand, would switch to a Sony-made sensor for the primary camera. The resolution may remain 50 megapixels, but ISOCELL could be dropped from the supply chain in favor of better Sony sensors.

Samsung Galaxy S25 and Apple iPhone 16

Apple just announced iOS 26 at its big WWDC 2025 event, and it’s full of exciting features. It offers a fresh look with new Liquid Glass icons, a fun and dynamic Lock Screen, Live Translation, and redesigned Camera and Gallery apps. While Apple fans were excited, Samsung had a different reaction to the release of iOS 26.

Just after the event, Samsung’s official US account on X (formerly Twitter) posted several tweets making fun of Apple. Samsung also highlighted that many of the new features in iOS 26 have already been available on Galaxy devices.

Here’s how Samsung trolls Apple

One tweet said, “AI is coming to your watch? Cute. Ours already knows when you’re too tired to care #GalaxyAI,” making fun of Apple’s new AI features.

Another tweet, Samsung joked, “New to live translations? Welcome aboard!” They said Galaxy phones have already been translating text and speech in real time for a while.

Samsung also made fun of iOS 26’s design. They wrote, “Customizable apps? Floating bars? That sleek glass look? Looks… familiar.” This was their way of saying Apple copied features from Galaxy phones.

In another tweet, Samsung said, “Apple introduces Live Translation. For more info, check out our Galaxy S24 launch from 16 months ago.

These tweets clearly show that Samsung wants to remind people that Galaxy phones already have many of the features Apple just introduced.
