After Galaxy S24, One UI 7 now available for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6, Flip6 in the US

T-Mobile starts releasing the new One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 in the US. Samsung and US carriers began the rollout earlier this month, but the expansion was quickly halted due to a serious problem.
Now that T-Mobile has resumed the rollout, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 users can install the new One UI 7 update. The latest build can be identified via PDA build version ending with BYD9, which is also available for Verizon models.
Recently, T-Mobile resumed the One UI 7 release for the Galaxy S24 series. As the issue has been resolved, Samsung fans can expect the OTA shortly. The rollout is still expanding sequentially, so you may not see the update immediately.
One UI 7 brings a fresh look to the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold6, and Z Flip6. The update, based on Android 15, offers a redesigned interface with smoother animations. New icons and customizable widgets enhance the user experience.
Vertical app drawer and split notification panels improve navigation. Security is boosted with the Knox Matrix dashboard, which monitors connected devices. Now Bar on the lock screen shows real-time updates like music playback or workout stats.
Galaxy AI features include Writing Assist for text editing and Audio Eraser for removing video background noise. You may not see the upgraded Home Up on foldables and tablets, which is still under development; read more here.

Samsung rolls out new update for Galaxy Watch 5, 5 Pro, and FE

Samsung has released a new update for the Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, and Galaxy Watch FE in Europe. The fresh update installs the March 2024 security patch to improve system security and stability.
The fresh update for the Bluetooth variants of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro comes with firmware version ending with CYCD. On the other hand, the update arrives on Galaxy Watch FE with firmware version ending with BYCD.
Along with the new security patch, the update also brings some improvements to the overall stability of the watches. Samsung hasn’t shared many details on exactly what’s improved, but it’s clear that the update is meant to make the watches work better and more securely.
At the moment, the update is available now for Bluetooth models of the Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro, and Watch FE. To install the update, you’ll get a notification on your phone when it’s ready. You can also check manually by opening the Samsung Wearable app, going to “Watch settings,” and tapping on “Watch software updates.” Then, just tap “Download and install” to start the update.
Although the March 2025 patch might feel a bit old by mid-May, it’s still an important update for keeping your Galaxy Watch 5 series or Watch FE secure and working smoothly. So, make sure to update as soon as it’s available on your Galaxy Watch.
