Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 deal

Samsung has rolled out a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 7 in India. This update is quite large, about 910MB in size, and comes with the build version L310XXU1AYCD.

This major update was already available earlier in countries including Korea, Europe, and the US. Now, it’s gradually being released in more regions, including India.

Even though the update is big, the official changelog doesn’t mention any new features. However, it brings general improvements to the Galaxy Watch.

The fresh update improves the stability and reliability of the device. That means it fixes minor bugs and issues that users might have faced in older versions. It also installs the March 2025 Android security patch, which helps keep your watch safe and secure from threats.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Lock screen

Samsung’s One UI 7-based April 2025 security patch update is now available for the Galaxy S25 series at Verizon US.

With the April 2025 update, Verizon is bringing the latest security enhancements to the Galaxy S25 series in the US. The changelog does not mention any new features or changes to the user interface, but the firmware should have brought some.

Last week, Samsung pushed a big update for the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea. Yesterday, the company brought the OTA to the global market (Australia, India), and it is now available in the United States as well.

Software Versions (Verizon US):

  • Galaxy S25 – S931USQU2AYD9
  • S25 Plus – S936USQU2AYD9
  • S25 Ultra – S938USQU2AYD9

Samsung’s April 2025 patch brings fixes for over 60 common vulnerability items. The network carrier may have also included specific improvements for the devices to deliver an even better user experience to the consumers.

What’s changing:

  • The current software update provides performance improvements and the most up-to-date Android security patches for your device.

Apart from security enhancements, users can look forward to some fruitful upgrades. Global users have got media player integration into the Now Bar and Live Notification with even more streamlined positioning.

The update has also replaced the old laggy charging animation pill with a cleaner version, which looks better and features smooth animation. Besides, the overall animation fluency has also improved, inspired by the feedback from the Beta Program.

As the update is rolling out to Verizon models, users of T-Mobile, AT&T, and other US carriers will soon get access to the new patch. You can check for the latest updates through Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic

Samsung just pushed the April 2025 firmware update for the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic. The initial rollout has started in South Korea, and consumers are receiving the new firmware update as part of the phased expansion.

This firmware follows the recent rollout of a big update for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra. Despite it being crafted in April 2025, the security patch may not be the latest, as the Watch 7 and Ultra got the March 2025 security patch.

As the One UI 7 rollout is underway, Samsung would have been refining the experience of its Wear OS smartwatches. The OS brings new and enhanced Samsung Health features, which would work with the Galaxy Watch for monitoring.

Here are the software versions for identification:

BREAKING: Samsung resumes One UI 7 rollout, Galaxy S24 gets new BYD9 update

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

Samsung starts rolling out a new One UI 7 update to the Galaxy S24 series. Initially available in South Korea, the new One UI 7 BYD9 build should soon go live in more markets. It’s a more refined build over the initial one and contains fixes for the lock screen bug.

This new build marks the resumption of the suspended rollout. As a Galaxy user, I am disappointed, though Samsung deserves praise given a quicker investigation and resolution to the serious glitch encountered by many.

The changelog mentions “stability improvements” for the Galaxy S24 series. It’s a Stable Hotfix update that is currently making its way to devices that have been upgraded to the initial One UI 7 Stable update after April 7 in Korea.

It was reported that the initial One UI 7 update had some serious issues with the unlock functionality that led the company to suspend the expansion. As the One UI 7 rollout has resumed with BYD9 build, users can now expect a swift expansion globally.

To recall, Stable One UI 7 builds disappeared from the firmware server over the last two days. Exynos models were initially affected in South Korea, but the entire rollout has been halted for the Galaxy S24 series, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6.

Your Galaxy device may have also received the new build. Notification will arrive late, but you can manually check for the updates within Settings > Software update. Hit Download and install so your phone can fetch a new OTA.

Samsung Galaxy A26 does not support Seamless Updates, unlike A36 and A56

Samsung Galaxy A26

After Galaxy A56 and Galaxy A36, Samsung has released the first update for the Galaxy A26 smartphone in Europe. This shows that the Galaxy A26 smartphone does not support seamless updates like the other two Galaxy A series phones.

But do seamless updates really matter? Yes, it allows for installing updates in a faster and more efficient way. Most older Android phones use the regular update method. After downloading an update, the phone has to restart and shows a screen saying “Installing…” During this time, you can’t use the phone, and the process can take several minutes.

Seamless updates work differently. The update is installed in the background while you keep using your phone like normal. Once it’s done, the phone asks you to restart, and then it boots into the updated version quickly. This method is faster, safer, and more user-friendly.

Samsung Galaxy A26 First update

Samsung first introduced seamless updates on the Galaxy A55 5G, and newer phones like the Galaxy A36 5G, A56 5G, and the Galaxy S25 series also support it. That’s why it’s a bit disappointing to see that the Galaxy A26 5G doesn’t have it, just like the other older phones.

Aside from this, the first software update for the Samsung Galaxy A26 smartphone installs the latest Android security patch released in April 2026 to improve system security and stability. Users can identify the update via One UI build version A266BXXS2AYC1 and an installation package size of 300 MB.

You can install the update via Settings >> Software Updates >> Download and install.
