Samsung Galaxy Buds FE 2 listed on BIS, launch expected soon

Samsung Galaxy Earbuds 3 issues

Samsung seems to be getting ready to launch a new pair of wireless earbuds named the Galaxy Buds FE 2. These are the next version of the Galaxy Buds FE, which came out in 2023. The Galaxy Buds FE 2, with its model number, has been seen on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website.

On the BIS database, the Galaxy Buds FE has been spotted with model number SM-R410 by XpertPick. This means the earbuds may be launching soon in India.

When a product gets listed on BIS, it usually means the company is almost done with the development and planning to launch it soon in India. So, Samsung may release the Galaxy Buds FE 2 very soon.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro

Samsung hasn’t shared any official details yet about the Galaxy Buds FE 2. But some leaks revealed these earbuds could have a similar design to Galaxy Buds 3 or Buds 3 Pro. They might also come with better sound quality, improved noise cancellation, and longer battery life.

These earbuds will probably be more affordable than Samsung’s high-end models, as its name has FE (Fans Edition). The FE models are made for people who want good features at an affordable price.

The Galaxy Buds FE 2 are expected to launch at the next big Galaxy Unpacked event along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Stay tuned for more information.

Samsung may rename its next budget earbuds to Galaxy Buds Core

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro

Samsung might be giving its next budget earbuds a new name. Instead of calling them the Galaxy Buds FE 2, Samsung could launch them as the Galaxy Buds Core.

This news comes from a recent FCC filing for model number SM-R410, which matches a trademark Samsung filed earlier this year. This suggests that the company may be planning to change the name and possibly of its budget earbud series.

The name “Core” hints that these earbuds will offer only the most important features. To keep the price low, Samsung may leave out things like active noise cancellation (ANC). That means the Galaxy Buds Core could be a simpler, more affordable choice.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Core

The Galaxy Buds Core might not launch worldwide right away. The trademark is registered only in India, Brazil, Indonesia, Mexico, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Turkiye, Egypt, and Russia. Countries including the US, Canada, and much of Europe are not included, which could mean the earbuds will be released in selected regions first.

It’s been about a year and a half since the original Galaxy Buds FE launched, and fans have been waiting for its successor. Now, with certifications appearing online, it looks like Samsung is getting ready to launch the next version soon.

We still don’t know if the Galaxy Buds Core are just a renamed FE 2 or a completely new product. But either way, it seems like Samsung is planning to offer an affordable option for users.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Gemini

Google is preparing to bring Gemini to Wear OS as an app update. It’s a quite interesting development for the users of Samsung Galaxy Watch as a Gemini AI upgrade will soon be headed to their smartwatches.

As per 9to5Google, Google is bringing its AI-powered Gemini assistant to Wear OS, replacing the familiar Google Assistant. This shift follows similar updates on phones and tablets, marking a new chapter for Google’s wearable tech.

That said, Samsung Galaxy Watch users will also receive an upgrade that will replace the Google Assistant with the AI-powered Gemini. The transition is expected to happen through a simple app update to Google Assistant.

A notification will greet users post-update: “Gemini is now on your watch.” It encourages natural speech for tasks, similar to using Gemini on phones. The update aims to make interactions smoother and more intuitive.

Google includes a note of caution: “Gemini can make mistakes, including about people, so double-check it.” This reminder highlights the need to verify AI responses, a standard practice with generative AI tools.

What to expect with Gemini for Wear OS?

Gemini’s core features include setting alarms, timers, and sending messages. These match Google Assistant’s current capabilities. It’s unclear if advanced features, like accessing Gmail or Google Maps, will be available on your wrist.

Galaxy Watch Ultra brings Asphalt 8 to your wrist

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra Asphalt 8

Smartwatches are usually designed for fitness tracking, but some users are pushing the capabilities by turning them into gaming devices. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is a great example, as it can now run Asphalt 8 with surprisingly smooth performance.

Asphalt 8 is a popular racing game, and it runs smoothly on a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra. Although smartwatches aren’t built for gaming, tech-savvy users have found ways to install games by sideloading apps.

A Reddit user managed to get the game running on the Galaxy Watch Ultra by enabling ADB and installing the Asphalt 8 game’s APK. The game runs surprisingly well on the small and round screen of the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

Instead of using on-screen buttons, the game supports gyro controls, meaning players can tilt the watch to steer, just like in a real racing game. This makes the gameplay feel more natural and fun.

Despite the Galaxy Watch Ultra’s limited processing power compared to phones, Asphalt 8 runs smoothly with only a slight input delay. The watch doesn’t overheat either, which shows how efficiently the device handles the game.

Aside from the Galaxy Watch Ultra, one Reddit user also installed GTA and God of War on the Galaxy Watch 5 earlier this year. The user sideloaded the PDP emulator to the watch to get these games. These experiments show that smartwatches have untapped potential for gaming.
