Published

Samsung Galaxy Watch Gemini

Samsung has released a huge software update for the Galaxy Watch 7 in Europe. This update is already out for users in Korea and the US.

The fresh update brings the March 2025 security patch to improve system security. This update is now available for the Bluetooth version of the watch.

The new software for the Galaxy Watch 7 in Europe can be identified via version ending with AYCD, and the update file size is quite large, over 900 MB. That’s a big for a smartwatch. But Samsung only says the update improves security and stability. It doesn’t explain why the file is so big.

Right now, the update is only for Galaxy Watch 7 models without 4G. If you have the LTE version, you’ll need to wait a bit longer. The same goes for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, which is only sold with 4G. Samsung hasn’t shared when those models will get the update.

Many people hope Samsung will soon send similar huge-size updates to other watches, like the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 6, and Galaxy Watch FE models.

If you have a Galaxy Watch 7, you can check for the update yourself. Open the Galaxy Wearable app, tap on Watch settings, go to Watch software update, and then tap Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Verizon has begun deploying the highly anticipated One UI 7 update for Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra devices across the United States, marking a significant milestone for Galaxy users. It is currently available for the locked Verizon units in the country,

This Android 15-based update, which started on April 22, 2025, brings a refreshed user interface, enhanced AI features, and improved performance to Samsung’s 2023 flagship lineup. The update follows a phased global rollout that began in South Korea earlier this month, with the US now joining the wave of regions receiving the stable build.

The One UI 7 introduces a sleek, modern design with a simplified home screen, updated widgets, and a customizable lock screen. A standout feature is the Now Bar, which delivers real-time updates like workout stats or media playback directly on the lock screen, enhancing user convenience.

The update also boosts Samsung’s Galaxy AI suite, offering tools like Audio Eraser for noise-free recordings, smarter writing assistance, and call-recording summaries. The April 2025 security patch is included, ensuring robust protection against vulnerabilities.

About the One UI 7 rollout, it was initially paused due to a lock screen bug affecting some Galaxy S24 devices, and resumed after Samsung addressed the issue. Verizon’s carrier-locked S23 devices are now receiving the update, with a download size of approximately 5 GB. Users are advised to connect to Wi-Fi and ensure a sufficient battery before installing.

To check for the update, navigate to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. While Verizon has begun the rollout, AT&T and T-Mobile users should start receiving the update soon.
