One UI 7 has a bold Security Status feature for your Samsung devices

Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7 update introduces a powerful Security Status feature. Powered by the Knox Matrix dashboard, this tool helps you monitor the security of all your connected Samsung devices.
The Knox Matrix dashboard is a new feature in One UI 7. It allows you to check the security status of devices linked to your Samsung account, with compatible devices including smartphones, tablets, TVs, and even home appliances.
Knox Matrix uses a secure private blockchain called Trust Chain. It lets your Samsung devices monitor each other for threats. Each device checks the security status of others to ensure real-time protection across your Galaxy ecosystem.
If any of the connected devices is at risk, the Knox Matrix dashboard alerts you. A green status means all is well, while a warning prompts actionable steps to fix issues. This transparency helps you address threats quickly, keeping your data safe.

With more devices connected, security is crucial. Knox Matrix ensures your smartphone, tablet, or smart fridge stays protected. By monitoring all devices signed into your Samsung account, it reduce vulnerabilities in your smart home setup.
How to access Security Status
One UI 7 adds the Security Status feature within the Security and Privacy menu. Beneath the Additional security settings section, you will find a newly added menu entitled “Security status of your devices,” opening which shows connected devices.
One UI 7 Update
The Knox Matrix dashboard in One UI 7 makes security straightforward. By letting your devices watch out for each other, Samsung ensures your data stays protected.
The One UI 7 update is rolling out gradually to the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung scheduled a broad expansion for flagship devices in May 2025, followed by non-flagships in June 2025.

Samsung might release One UI 7 Beta 3 for Galaxy A55

In mid-April 2025, Samsung released the One UI 7 Beta 2 update for the Galaxy A55 in India. This update included bug fixes and some improvements. Now, new information suggests that Samsung is working on another beta version for the Galaxy A55, which will be One UI 7 Beta 3.
A reliable tipster has found a new beta build on the Checkfirm platform for Indian variants of the Samsung Galaxy A55 smartphone. The version number is A556EXXU7ZYD5, which shows that Samsung is preparing another update for beta testers.
So far, the Beta 2 update with the version ending in ZYD3 has only been released in India. Samsung is now testing a new One UI 7 beta build for the Indian model, which means more fixes and improvements might be on the way.
The new beta build means that Galaxy A55 users may need to wait a little longer for the stable version of One UI 7. Samsung is still testing to make sure everything works well before releasing the final update to everyone.
In addition to this, Samsung is also testing a new beta build for the Korean models of the Galaxy A55. The build version A556SKSU4ZYD2 has also appeared, which shows that users in Korea might soon get the second beta update too.
Recently, Samsung restarted the One UI 7 rollout for the Galaxy S24 series. This shows that the company is actively working to bring One UI 7 to more devices. The Galaxy A55 users can expect the stable update soon, but before that, they might get the One UI 7 Beta 3 update.

One UI 8 to bring cleaner, smarter design to Samsung My Files app

Samsung has reportedly started working on a new version of its software, One UI 8, and it looks like the My Files app will get new UI changes. After the redesign in One UI 7, Samsung is now planning to improve the app even more to make it look cleaner, more modern, and easier to use.
Recent leaked images show that the Samsung My Files app in One UI 8 will have a slightly refreshed design. The app name “My Files” is still placed in the center at the top, just like before, but the overall design looks more polished. The text style has been slightly updated to look more modern.
One UI 8 will bring changes to the category section. The buttons for categories like Images, Videos, Audio, Documents, Download, and Installation files are now smaller, more rounded, and colorful. The names of the categories now appear next to the icons instead of underneath, which makes the screen look neater and easier to read.
The “Recent Files” section has also been improved. It now shows how many new files were added recently, right in the heading. For example, it might say “2 new files added recently” with an orange dot to catch your attention. The previews of these files are also larger and spaced out better to make them easier to view.

My Files
Below the recent files, there’s a Storage section that shows how much internal storage you’ve used. It also includes OneDrive cloud storage details like previous
The new design in One UI 8 makes the My Files app more useful and visually appealing. It improves on the earlier design by providing more details at a glance and enhancing the user experience with better layout and visuals, while still keeping everything easy to use.
Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed these changes yet, so take this information with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned for more updates.

Samsung One UI 7 Stable update still on hold for US users

It’s been two days since Samsung resumed the One UI 7 rollout, but US users are still waiting for the update. The company first released the Hotfix build for the Galaxy S24 series and later expanded it to the Z Flip 6, Z Fold 6, and Fold SE.
We understand the delay is cautionary, but users in the US and worldwide have been waiting for the One UI 7 update for quite a long time. Samsung should now bring the update to eligible users and shift its focus to expansion for older models.
On April 10, Samsung initiated One UI 7 distribution for the Galaxy S24 users in the US and Europe. However, a serious issue identified in some Korean models has led to the expansion being temporarily suspended globally.
Samsung acted quickly in identifying the cause of the problem and addressing it. Korean rollout has resumed on April 17, but the new build is still awaited by users of the Galaxy S24 series living outside Samsung’s home ground.
The Android 15 upgrade for Samsung phones comes with an all-new design. The software brings intelligent features like Now Bar and Live Notifications that uplevel the user experience and streamline Galaxy’s notifications and updates.
One UI 7 has been delayed by a historic period, but Samsung is working to make it the last such halt. One UI 8 is in the works, and the official version is almost confirmed to be introduced with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 this year.
