Samsung is getting ready to launch the new Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone. We’ve already seen some leaked images of a dummy model of the Galaxy S25 Edge, and now a video of the phone has also surfaced online.

A tipster @techdrioder shared the dummy model video of the Galaxy S25 Edge on X (Twitter). In the video, we get a clear look at the front and back design of the Galaxy S25 Edge. It’s shown side-by-side with the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and it’s clear that the S25 Edge is much slimmer. The phone looks sleek and stylish overall.

The back of the phone has a beautiful design with two cameras and a flash, all placed neatly in a small pill-shaped module. On the bottom of the phone, you can see the charging port, microphone, SIM card tray, and speaker.

On the right side of the phone, there’s a power button and volume rocker. The phone’s edges look smooth, and the whole design is modern and premium.

Galaxy S25 Edge vs S25 Ultra: Dummy reveals special design upgrades

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, Z Fold7, and Z Flip7 FE have been listed on a telecom site’s eSIM support list. The listing reveals a major change that would help the firm as well as consumers identify the device by model number.

Samsung has simplified the model number strategy with its upcoming foldable phones. The confusing model numbers will no longer be continued after the existing models, which indicates a generation gap between the latest models.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7

The Galaxy Z Flip7 will bear model number F766x, while the Z Fold7 will carry F966x. Samsung has brought the Galaxy Z Flip7 equivalent to this year’s Fold model in terms of model numbers.

After previous leaks, the alteration in model number has been solidified by telecom site Vini. Both devices have been spotted on the eSIM compatibility chart for various countries, including the US.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip “Xe”

Vini has also listed Samsung’s SM-F761x model number, referring to the affordable Galaxy Z Flip phone. The phone’s marketing name has been mentioned as Galaxy Z Flip Xe, which was previously updated by Samsung.

Last December, the Galaxy Z Flip Xe was spotted on the GSMA IMEI database. The company may have intentionally done it to confuse netizens, as the listing was quietly replaced with “Galaxy Z Flip7 FE” in early March this year.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Fold7 in early July this year. The affordable model is reportedly postponed to the fourth quarter. The company is expected to drop a Galaxy Z Flip7 FE teaser at the July Unpacked.

Galaxy S25 Edge is joining the S25 lineup as the fourth model next month. Meanwhile, Samsung could also be planning to debut the Fan Edition later this year. Latest revelation hints at an aged Exynos 2400e processor in the Galaxy S25 FE.

As discovered by AndroidAuthority, Samsung may reuse the Exynos 2400e processor in the Galaxy S25 FE. Notably, it is an underclocked version of Exynos 2400 used in the Galaxy S24 series, which Samsung used in the Galaxy S24 FE.

Samsung Foundry issues led to Exynos 2500 being abandoned from the S25 lineup. Later, it was rumored to launch with the Galaxy Z Flip 7, which also seems uncertain. In the worst case, it was expected to be used in the S25 FE.

Exynos 2500 is in the works, which is being manufactured using Samsung’s 3nm node. The lower yield rate has also reportedly caused the delay in Z Flip FE launch, with the company now targeting Q4 2025 timeframe for the device.

Exynos 2400e

Samsung is reportedly working on a device codenamed R13, aligning with the S25 FE. It has been found that the product has the same Exynos 2400e chip (S5E9945) utilized in the R12 (Galaxy S24 FE) last year.

While Exynos 2500 is yet to enter the real world, Exynos 2400 and Exynos 2400e have proven to be decent processors in recent years. Consumers have no problems in everyday use, and the performance gap is also minimal.

According to the renders by @xleaks7, the design of the Samsung rollable phone is sleek and modern. Unlike foldable phones that flip or unfold, this rollable phone changes size by stretching out its screen when needed. It makes the phone easy to carry in your pocket

The phone features thin edges around the screen. However, the mechanism that lets the screen roll out makes the phone a little thicker than other Samsung models.

Moreover, the rear camera setup looks similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, with two lenses and a flash. The renders also show a volume rocker button on the right side.

Aside from the design, the phone will reportedly have several AI features, including instant translation, which lets you talk in your own language, and the phone will immediately show the other person’s response in your language. The AI can also summarize long messages for you, remind you when it’s time to leave for an appointment and edit photos by removing unnecessary objects and changing colors.

Additionally, the phone’s AI will automatically adjust camera settings to make sure you get the best pictures. It also has features that help games run smoothly by managing power and heat.

Notably, the new renders are based on the patent Samsung received from the US Patent and Trademark Office on April 15th. This new design could change the way we use phones, making them more flexible and fun to use.

Samsung patents futuristic Tablet with rollable display

Samsung Galaxy S22 series will get its Android 15-based One UI 7 update next month, but a virtual demo sheds light on the latest changes and newly added features.

A video posted on Reddit shows off a Galaxy S22 Plus running One UI 7 via Samsung Remote Test Lab, highlighting the design revamp and new features.

The user also accessed the Galaxy AI section to see whether Samsung is upgrading this aspect, but, unfortunately, the 2022 flagships seem to be missing out on the AI upgrade.

The Galaxy S22 series is getting intelligent features like Now Bar and Live Notifications. However, these functionalities might be limited to Media Player activity.

App icons got a modern look with dynamic colors and a more eye-catching appearance. While the phone ran One UI 7 via RTL, the animations are radically broken and lag a lot.

Meanwhile, the real software experience will be a lot better than the RTL mimicry. Galaxy S22 series users can look forward to an elevated user experience with the One UI 7.0 update.

As per the roadmap, Samsung will roll out the One UI 7.0 update to the Galaxy S23, S22, and S21 series around the world in May 2025, while April is dedicated to recent flagships from 2024.
