Samsung is finally doing something about One UI 7.0 we’ve wanted for months

Samsung has shifted gear for One UI 7.0 rollout with an expansion for previously released smartphones, something that we wanted to see for months.
One UI 7.0 is a landmark software with a new UI design, better animations, smoother interactions and immersive personalizations features. These upgrades make the software compelling for previous generation of devices and also the most hyped One UI version released to date.
However, this anticipation later becomes a burden for users tagged with disappointment. To understand this scenario, we have to dive into a brief history lesson.
Samsung started the One UI 7.0 beta program in December, three months later than One UI 6.0 beta (in August 2023), for the Galaxy S24 series.
Afters a few beta OTA rollout, Samsung paused new test build OTA around the S25 series launch (in January). At that time, every Galaxy smartphone owner thought it would be the end of the beta activity, but that didn’t happen.
February and March also ended up in the same anticipation, ad the wait extended to April. Earlier this month, Samsung released One UI 7.0 for the S24 series, which met with a devastating bug and a brief halt to the global rollout.
Samsung resumed S24’s One UI 7 release and expanded throughout the world alongside Fold 6 and Flip 6.
Last week, plans for rollout only picked up pace with stable One UI 7.0 for S23 units. On Monday, the Korean tech giant also surprised S23 FE, S22 series and Tab S8 owners, as well as Flip 4 and Fold 4.
It appears that Samsung had been testing these devices for a long time and waiting to conclude the beta campaign for the S24 and S23 series. While things may look fine now, it took the Korean tech company a long time to pick up pace on this matter.
Now, when the most awaited devices are in sight, Samsung could move forward with One UI 7.0 rollout for mid-range and budget devices from A-series, M-Series, F-series and more, something that could’ve witnessed earlier.

Samsung’s speedy One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy S23 and S22 could be a good news for S21 users

Earlier today, Samsung surprised Galaxy S22 and S23 series users with a One UI 7 rollout, and this could be good news for Galaxy S21 users.
One UI 7 rollout saga continues to take new turns as the Korean tech company is adding new devices to the release schedule. That brings us to the S23 series, which received the initial One UI 7 build last week in Korea, followed by the US.
But its expansion is now on the move in Europe and the Asian market, while more regions will gradually make their ways to this update.
The real surprise comes as the Galaxy S22 began receiving One UI 7, again limited to the Korean market but an interesting sign for global S22 owners.
The fast release comes after the company stopped enrolling previous devices to the beta program. Instead, it’s releasing a stable update via OTA update.
The majority of the bugs and issues are already quashed in S24 and S23 devices, and most of the internal tests have provided enough confidence for Samsung to send directly stable One UI 7.
We can expect an S22 software update expansion for the majority of the users very soon, maybe this or the next week. There’s another side of the story, S22’s software release only dropped in a week of S23’s. This gives us enough reasons to connect the dots with the S21 lineup.
Unlike the S22 series, One UI 7 will be the last major software update for the S21 lineup. Still, it’s better than the S20 series, a flagship that has already completed its update lifeline.
So, sit tight and wait for Samsung to bring One UI 7 for the Galaxy S21 series because it is next in line to get all of the newest features and improvements.
Meanwhile, you can stay connected to our One UI 7 section to know more about the latest development in this matter.
