Why are we talking about One UI 8 when almost all Samsung Galaxy users still waiting for the One UI 7

Samsung Galaxy S25 First One UI 7 update India

Samsung Galaxy fans have been loyal through ups and downs, patiently waiting for One UI 7 software updates that promise to make their devices smoother, faster, and more enjoyable. But lately, that patience is wearing thin—very thin. Samsung has left millions of users waiting forever for One UI 7, while people are already starting to talk about One UI 8. It’s a slap in the face to the Galaxy community, and it’s time we called it out for what it is: a messy, frustrating mishandling of customer trust.

Let’s rewind a bit. The One UI 7 software was supposed to be a game-changer for the Galaxy users. Samsung hyped the latest One UI version up as a major overhaul—the biggest update to its user interface since 2018.

The Galaxy Fans were told (thanks to endless rumors and a lack of official confirmation) to expect a stable release sometime in early 2025. But here we are, in March 2025, and most users are still stuck on beta versions or, worse, older software entirely, the Android 14-based One UI 6 version.

What’s the holdup? Samsung claims they’re aiming for a “higher quality bar.” Fair enough—nobody wants buggy software. But when your flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra launched in early 2025 still running the late December 2024 security patch, something was seriously wrong. How can a brand-new, top-of-the-line phone not have a “stable” OS out of the box?

The wait for One UI 7 has gone on so long that fans aren’t happy anymore—they’re upset. And you can’t blame them. Samsung’s reputation for timely updates is slipping, and the “7 years of support” promise feels like an empty bag. If they can’t even get One UI 7 out, how can we trust the company to keep phones fresh for nearly a decade?

The Big Question: Why Are We Talking About One UI 8?

While Galaxy users are still refreshing the software update page, hoping for One UI 7 to finally show up, rumors about One UI 8 have already begun. Seriously, Samsung—what’s the rush? According to several speculations on social media, One UI 8 might drop sooner than expected because One UI 7 took so long to perfect. Some even say it’s because One UI 7 is such a massive leap that Samsung’s already planning the next step.

Let’s be real: this feels like a trick to change the subject. Why are we even talking about One UI 8 when most people don’t have One UI 7 yet? Samsung’s rushing ahead, either to shift focus away from their current mess or to keep the hype train rolling. Either way, it’s clueless and makes people mad.

Think about it. The Galaxy S24, S23, and even older models like the S21 are still waiting for the stable One UI 7 update. Foldable fans with the Z Fold 6 or Flip 6 are in the same boat. These are premium devices—costing over a thousand dollars—and the owners deserve better than baseless rumors and half-baked betas.

This whole situation is like a big insult to Samsung’s loyal fans. People who spent their hard-earned money on Galaxy phones didn’t agree with this. They didn’t expect to be left waiting, watching brands like Google give the Pixel users the latest software updates while Samsung stumbles. The One UI 7 delay isn’t just a small glitch—it’s breaking fans’ trust.

Here’s what Samsung needs to do, finish what they started. Bring out the One UI 7 for everyone—not just the few beta testers who got lucky. Stop hinting at the next thing when the current problem isn’t solved. Galaxy fans aren’t asking for the impossible; we just want what Samsung promised.

One UI 8

One UI 8

So, why are we talking about One UI 8 when nearly all Samsung Galaxy users are still waiting for One UI 7? Easy answer: we shouldn’t be. It’s a pointless distraction and way too soon to bring up. Samsung should be more focused on bringing the One UI 7 for everyone. Until that’s done, One UI 8 talk is just annoying noise. Let’s hope Samsung wakes up soon because this kind of treatment isn’t how you keep customers happy—or loyal.

Galaxy S25 Edge renders revealed design and specs before its anticipated launch

Published

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge

A new set of Galaxy S25 Edge renders have appeared online and revealed information about the upcoming device, including its design as well as specs.

Winfuture has shared a bunch of material about Galaxy S25 Edge starting with the launch date, which could happen next month, but an exact date is not shared.

The phone will equip a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2400 x 1000 pixels resolution. The display is flat on all side, rounded corners, and a hole punch to feature a selfie camera. The front appearance is identical to the Galaxy S25 and S25+.

The S25 Edge will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The other three models from the lineup also have this chipset, enhancing the processing capability over Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It means that the phone will also support all of the latest Galaxy AI features.

Unlike its S25 siblings, the Edge model will offer two rear cameras, including a 200MP main sensor. The secondary will a 12MP camera, probably for ultra-wide angle photography. It was previously rumored to bring ALoP camera, a next-generation telescope lens, but this tech remains unconfirmed in the renders.

The S25 Edge is 5.8mm thick, which excludes the camera bump. However, achieving a thin form factory would require the company to sacrifice an important aspect – battery.

This minimized size wouldn’t allow Samsung to in-built a large capacity. Hence, the source suggests that the mAh size in S25 Edge will be, 3900mAh. This is fairly low compared to the S25 Plus with 4,900mAh.

Interestingly, the phone has three variants Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Icy Blue. These names indicate that the phone will be using a titanium design similar to the S25 Ultra.

With each popular model, Samsung has developed a tradition of offering online exclusive colors, and we can hope the same for the S25 Edge.

Galaxy S25 Edge vs S25 Ultra: Dummy reveals special design upgrades

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Edge Dummy

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will soon make its way to the global customers and a dummy version of the device has revealed a massive upgrade in a side by side comparison to the S25 Ultra.

A Korean YouTuber has published a video featuring S25 Edge dummy, actually two dummies of the unreleased device, and explained some upgrades over the high-specs Samsung flagship.

Starting with looks, the YouTuber had two dummies, one in white and the other in all-black color. The rear side is plain as standard S25 model, with a more clear look at the vertical camera integration.

The phone has two lenses and their outlook is similar in size. The camera bump is only visible for design purpose, consisting of an LED flash.

The overall appearance is quite identical to the standard S25 and S25+. Notably, the black version has all colored appearance including a black frame, which blends into the rear.

The dummy was measured in real-time with a digital scale, revealing a 5.84mm thickness, around 2.4mm thinner than the S25 Ultra (8.2mm).

In a head’s down, side by side comparison, the S25 Edge looks impressively slimmer than the S25 Ultra. That’s not it, there’s more to observe in this shot.

Look at the components, the decreased thickness cannot be achieved without components and Samsung affirmed this in the short teaser at Unpacked 2025.

The teaser showed redesigned spare parts for this flagship. The look at the bottom of the device reveals trimmed charging port, the Sim Tray, and reshuffled speaker location.

A rear shot suggests that the phone has a slight less width than the Ultra, but the difference doesn’t look much in the video.

Another thing to note is that the device is smaller than the S25 Ultra, which is due to the smaller screen size at around 6.5-6.7-inches. The Galaxy S25 Edge dummy looks quite compelling with its design cut over S25 Ultra.

Conclusion

The new design upgrade will improve the in-hand experience for Galaxy S25 Edge users but we’ll have to wait for an official release date.
