Samsung Galaxy S24 gets March 2025 security update, One UI 7 coming in April
Samsung has started rolling out the March 2025 security update to the Galaxy S24 series. The rollout has just commenced in South Korea, with more countries to follow sequentially.
One UI 7 Beta Program is available for the Galaxy S24 series in seven countries, including South Korea, but not all consumers have joined the Beta testing activity.
Those having their S24 smartphone on the One UI 6.1 are now starting to receive the latest March 2025 security update, which addresses several common vulnerability exposure items.
It’s got fixes for things like weak spots in the system—over 40 issues total. Samsung’s also tossing in 7 of their fixes for problems they found, like making sure random settings can’t be hacked.
Samsung’s new SMR carries patches from Google’s March 2025 Android security list, tackling some serious stuff (like “Critical” and “High” risks) that could let hackers mess with your phone.
Samsung’s March patch was initially provided to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, followed by the Z Flip 6. Now, the Korean tech giant is expanding the software update to Korean units of the Galaxy S24 series.
To get it, just go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
One UI 7 coming next month
The company has recently confirmed that the Stable One UI 7 rollout will take place in April 2025. In addition, the One UI 7 Beta expansion is scheduled for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, today.
