Samsung betting everything to launch Exynos 2600 with Galaxy S26?

Samsung appears to be wanting Exynos 2600 in Galaxy S26 at any cost. The company is betting everything on the revival of its technological edge with the Exynos lineup. A new report sheds light on Samsung’s bold decisions for the same.
According to FNNews, Samsung Elec’s Semiconductor (DS) Division’s Foundry Business has just formed a task force to improve performance. The TF is all about to focus on fostering the performance of cutting-edge processes below 2nm.
The new-formed Samsung Performance Enhancement TF has selected the mounting of the Exynos 2600, the mobile application processor (AP) dubbed the “brain of smartphones,” on the Galaxy S26 series as its topmost priority.
The yield rate of the 2nm (SF2) process (Exynos 2600) is notably higher than the 3nm Exynos 2500. Samsung is reportedly betting everything on using Exynos 2600 in the S26 series, which is why the Task Force is established.
The Exynos 2600 is expected to begin prototype mass production around May this year, with its final inclusion in the Galaxy S26 to be determined by the end of the year.
The previous Exynos 2500 utilized the latest 3nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) process but failed to be included in the Galaxy S25 series due to low yield rates holding it back.

Samsung may launch Galaxy S25 Edge without an Unpacked event

First unveiled at an Unpacked event earlier this year, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be released in April. After the first reveal, the company showcased the slim smartphone at the Mobile World Congress as well.
As the official launch nears, more relevant input has started to surface online. That said, the company may not make much hype for the device prior to its release, at least, as per the latest revelation suggests.
Galaxy S25 Edge to launch without an event
Leaker Anthony claims that Samsung will not hold an Unpacked event to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge. The smartphone will be launched quietly, with press release and product page will be made available at a same time.
Earlier, the company introduced the Galaxy A26, A36, and A56. Despite bringing three new phones, the company didn’t have a separate program. The announcement was made with a Newsroom post, and details have been shared.
Similarly, the Galaxy S25 Edge would debut in the smartphone market. Samsung has been refraining from such expenses for the last two years. Therefore, don’t expect a mega unveil show to be held for the Galaxy S25 Edge.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge inches closer to US release with FCC nod

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has gained FCC certification for US release. The company is on the verge of introducing its slim flagship smartphone. After BIS, the S25 Edge has cleared another crucial certification hurdle.
According to the info, the Galaxy S25 Edge has received FCC nod ahead of its US release. The certification authority has listed the SM-S937U, SM-S937U1, and SM-S937B/DS, which are US locked, unlocked, and Global variants.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be just 5.8mm thick. The company may be shipping the device with Titanium alloy (the same as the S25 Ultra) and a Ceramic rear panel (rather than the typical Gorilla Glass Victus protection).
Samsung’s upcoming S25 Edge is said to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite. There will be two storage variants of the phone, including a 256GB and a 512GB, paired with 12GB of RAM, making it capable of the Gemini Nano AI model.
The screen may measure 6.65 inches (flat), and it has a 200MP primary camera, a 12/50MP ultrawide camera, a 3900mAh battery with 25W fast charging, Android 15-based One UI 7, and seven years of software updates.
The Galaxy S25 Edge may be available in three Titanium colors, including Silver, IcyBlue, and JetBlack. The Korean tech giant may price it cleverly, putting it between the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, starting at around $1100.

All iPhone 17 models to sport Samsung’s top OLED missing in S25 Ultra

OLED with M14 material set is the most advanced mobile screens available at Samsung Display. This year, Apple is expected to utilize the Samsung Display-made M14 OLED panels in all the iPhone 17 series models.
Apple usually introduces the latest materials to its higher-end models first, then gradually rolls them out to lower-end versions. This year, the company is expanding the M14 material set to include the standard and Air models.
According to ETNews, Samsung Display will supply M14 OLED for all iPhone 17 models this year. Apple is set to introduce the new iPhone lineup in the second half of the year, bringing four models: Standard, Air, Pro, and Pro Max.
Screen Sizes:
- Standard – 6.1 inch
- Air – 6.6 inch
- Pro – 6.3 inch
- Pro Max – 6.9 inch
Samsung’s Display subsidiary is expected to have the lion’s share in OLED supply, which is estimated at 80 to 90 million units. Korea’s LG Display and China’s BOE would also be supplying OLED screens for the iPhone 17 series.
Apple first used the M14 OLEDs in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max last year. The best Samsung screens were also featured in Google’s Pixel 9 series. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 series still uses aged OLEDs with the M13 material set.
Samsung has significantly improved the Galaxy S25’s display experience over the S24 series, but it can’t match the hardware upgrade. The company should consider bringing its best OLED to next year’s flagship smartphones.
The M14 is considered the highest-performing OLED material set commercialized to date.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Silver and JetBlack dummies face off with S25 Ultra!

A newly posted video has revealed Galaxy S25 Edge dummies, exposing the upcoming Samsung device in two of its colorways. The video also demonstrates a brief design comparison with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
YouTube channel 더신자 TheSINZA published a video exposing the Galaxy S25 Edge dummies in its Silver and JetBlack colors. Since these are just dummy models, the real phone’s appearance will be 10x premium than the dummies.
Still, it’s worth looking at the dummy units showing the S25 Edge in Black for the first time. The company’s upcoming 5.8mm smartphone has also been compared with the recently released Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is 8.2mm thick.

Source 더신자 TheSINZA / YouTube
The Galaxy S25 Edge is highly likely to be just 5.84mm thick. While Apple’s iPhone 17 Air is said to be even thinner, the S25 Edge’s design is quite thinner than the recent Samsung flagships, with the vanilla S25 measuring 7.2mm thick.

The difference goes even beyond when the S25 Edge is compared with the S25 Ultra. The latter is 8.2mm thick, that too without taking the camera module into account. The thickness difference between Edge and Ultra is nearly 2.4mm.

Samsung could launch the Galaxy S25 Edge sometime in April 2025. The company officially showcased the device at the Unpacked event earlier this year and Mobile World Congress without letting attendees have a hands-on experience.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, Fold 7 accessory leak exposes design secrets!

Leaked third-party accessory uncovers the design secrets of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. The company’s new foldable phones are coming in July, while third-party accessory vendors have probably received final design data.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 accessory leak sheds light on key design decisions. The Flip phone’s cover screen will be getting the biggest upgrade in years. The Fold may see subtle changes to improve the overall user experience.
The third-party transparent case of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 shows off the cover screen design. The panel occupies the entire upper half of the device, where the outer display will be featured.
On the flip side, the Fold 7’s screen protector appears to be slightly wider and taller than the Fold 6’s. It aligns with the dimensions revealed in the past, along with the CAD renderings.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7 is said to feature a Moto Razr-like full-view cover screen. The display will feature rear camera sensors inside instead of featuring a folder icon-inspired appearance.
The Z Fold 7 may be getting a more useful cover screen, with a width measuring 73mm. The cover screen may jump to 6.5 inches, while the inner screen is expected to be nearly 8.2 inches.
