These tips will extend your Galaxy S25 Ultra battery life

The Samsung Galaxy series offers 4900mAh and 5000mAh battery capacities tagged with the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset for extra power optimizations but you can still extend the backup by tweaking a few settings. The battery consumption depends on various features and background processes, and we’ve gathered these tips that can help you improve your Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra battery life.
We’ve distributed the settings in five sections, including the following
- Display
- Apps
- Battery settings
- Wireless services
- Others
Display
Low Brightness
A higher brightness increases battery drain, and adjusting it to a lower level can help you to get the optimum battery performance.
To do this, swipe down from the top right to open the control panel and adjust the brightness slider.
Adaptive brightness is a good alternative that automatically adjusts the screen brightness based on lighting conditions.
Dark mode
Switch to Dark Mode, which is designed to reduce battery life and also reduces eye strain. Enable this with the following steps:
- Swipe down from the top right corner to open the quick panel
- Tap on the dark mode button beside the brightness slider
You can also find this in the display settings.
Refresh rate
120Hz refresh rate is enabled by default in Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra models, providing smooth transitions and high quality gaming experience but it takes a notable part in power consumption. Instead, use standard 60Hz mode when you are not playing a game or watching high quality content.
- Go to settings
- Motion smoothness
- Choose Standard
Resolution
S25 series devices have Quad HD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) resolution set at default. Switch to the FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution to preserve more power.
- Open Settings
- Display
- Screen resolution and set it to FHD+
You can switch back anytime when you are watching any high-quality content.
Screen timeout
Keeping the screen idle or active for long could increase battery consumption, a lower screen timeout will help you to avoid such issues. Do this by entering.
- Settings
- Display
- Screen time, set it to 15 or 30 seconds.
AOD
Always on Display uses AMOLED screen to show specific information when the screen is off. However, it still keeps your phone active and consumes battery life.
By default, it is set to tap to show, you can leave it as it is or select a schedule. Setting it always on will take a part in battery consumption.
Live wallpaper
Galaxy S25 device has live stock wallpapers set as default, which also contribute to battery consumption. You should use a static wallpaper that is also part of your phone.
- Settings
- Wallpaper and style
- Select wallpaper and choose static
Now Brief
This is a good feature but it doesn’t fit into the usefulness angle, and it also uses unnecessary processor resources to increase battery consumption. You cannot turn off Now Bar but you can limit its use case by turning off the supported features.
Do this by opening Now Brief, tap on the settings button on the bottom right and enter “Content to include”.
Don’t turn off these selections if you like, Now brief.
Tip – You can also do the same with Now Bar and live notifications.
Apps
Uninstall apps
Some apps consume power in the background and deplete the battery. Select apps that you aren’t using, delete them right away to save the phone’s power and resources.
Do this by entering Settings > Apps > select an app and “Uninstall”

Samsung app setting
Disable
Some of the system apps cannot be uninstalled, instead, you can disable them to cut off their battery takeaways.
You can disable the app with the same instructions but this time select Disable.
- Uninstall apps
- Put them to sleep
- Disable
Battery settings
Power saving
This feature conserves battery capacity by limiting CPU performance to less necessary features. It usually closes all unnecessary apps and adjusts the screen to partially improve battery life.
The power saving mode has its own options to tweak performance limitations. You can enter its settings to select which feature to enable or disable.
There is also an option to enable maximum power saving by limiting apps and the home screen. You can use power saving mode from the quick panel or battery settings.
Check power usage
Monitor your phone’s power usage via the Battery setting and what’s going on in the power consumption graph.
Battery protection
Charging your battery at 100% for a long time can reduce its lifespan. You can choose an option to protect your battery and increase its lifespan.
This is the best feature to increase the longevity of your Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra battery life.
Wireless services
Keeping wireless connections, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth or NFC, ON despite no use could also cause trouble to battery life. You can disable or enable them anytime from the quick panel.
Other settings
Profile
Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra equips a performance profile feature, which lets you select between standard and light mode. The latter will prioritize battery life and cooling efficiency over processing speed in all scenarios except gaming.
Auto optimization
Samsung devices have an Auto optimization feature that purges the memory and restarts the phone at a schedule to maintain its smoothness. You can tweak this setting in the Device care.
Check software updates
Check for new software update and install them as soon as they arrive. These updates could bring important performance optimizations that could improve your phone’s battery efficiency.
Conclusion
These tips will help improve your Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra battery life. If you have any other suggestions, please share them via our social media accounts.

Galaxy S25 Edge renders revealed design and specs before its anticipated launch

A new set of Galaxy S25 Edge renders have appeared online and revealed information about the upcoming device, including its design as well as specs.
Winfuture has shared a bunch of material about Galaxy S25 Edge starting with the launch date, which could happen next month, but an exact date is not shared.
The phone will equip a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2400 x 1000 pixels resolution. The display is flat on all side, rounded corners, and a hole punch to feature a selfie camera. The front appearance is identical to the Galaxy S25 and S25+.
The S25 Edge will pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The other three models from the lineup also have this chipset, enhancing the processing capability over Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It means that the phone will also support all of the latest Galaxy AI features.
Unlike its S25 siblings, the Edge model will offer two rear cameras, including a 200MP main sensor. The secondary will a 12MP camera, probably for ultra-wide angle photography. It was previously rumored to bring ALoP camera, a next-generation telescope lens, but this tech remains unconfirmed in the renders.
The S25 Edge is 5.8mm thick, which excludes the camera bump. However, achieving a thin form factory would require the company to sacrifice an important aspect – battery.
This minimized size wouldn’t allow Samsung to in-built a large capacity. Hence, the source suggests that the mAh size in S25 Edge will be, 3900mAh. This is fairly low compared to the S25 Plus with 4,900mAh.
Interestingly, the phone has three variants Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Silver and Titanium Icy Blue. These names indicate that the phone will be using a titanium design similar to the S25 Ultra.
With each popular model, Samsung has developed a tradition of offering online exclusive colors, and we can hope the same for the S25 Edge.

Galaxy S25 Edge vs S25 Ultra: Dummy reveals special design upgrades

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will soon make its way to the global customers and a dummy version of the device has revealed a massive upgrade in a side by side comparison to the S25 Ultra.
A Korean YouTuber has published a video featuring S25 Edge dummy, actually two dummies of the unreleased device, and explained some upgrades over the high-specs Samsung flagship.
Starting with looks, the YouTuber had two dummies, one in white and the other in all-black color. The rear side is plain as standard S25 model, with a more clear look at the vertical camera integration.
The phone has two lenses and their outlook is similar in size. The camera bump is only visible for design purpose, consisting of an LED flash.
The overall appearance is quite identical to the standard S25 and S25+. Notably, the black version has all colored appearance including a black frame, which blends into the rear.
The dummy was measured in real-time with a digital scale, revealing a 5.84mm thickness, around 2.4mm thinner than the S25 Ultra (8.2mm).

In a head’s down, side by side comparison, the S25 Edge looks impressively slimmer than the S25 Ultra. That’s not it, there’s more to observe in this shot.
Look at the components, the decreased thickness cannot be achieved without components and Samsung affirmed this in the short teaser at Unpacked 2025.

Source – @thesinza/YouTube
The teaser showed redesigned spare parts for this flagship. The look at the bottom of the device reveals trimmed charging port, the Sim Tray, and reshuffled speaker location.
A rear shot suggests that the phone has a slight less width than the Ultra, but the difference doesn’t look much in the video.

Source – @thesinza/YouTube
Another thing to note is that the device is smaller than the S25 Ultra, which is due to the smaller screen size at around 6.5-6.7-inches. The Galaxy S25 Edge dummy looks quite compelling with its design cut over S25 Ultra.
Conclusion
The new design upgrade will improve the in-hand experience for Galaxy S25 Edge users but we’ll have to wait for an official release date.

Tipster Max Jambor has shared some information about the potential color options for this upcoming Galaxy device, including Black, Gray and Blue.
Max also posted an image consisting of three wallpapers, which probably belongs to the S25 Edge, as he was talking about the three colors in a prior post.
Yesterday, a Korean YouTuber published a video based on S25 Edge’s dummy model and revealed that it’s only 5.8mm thin, which is about 2.4mm thinner than the S25 Ultra, Samsung’s latest flagship.

The dummy model showed new developments that Samsung has brought to the device, thanks to reinvented components to give this phone desired dimensions.
The YouTuber showcased a black Galaxy S25 Edge dummy with a full color body, including a similar color frame. On the other hand, the white model has an aluminum color frame.
