Samsung TVs One UI update

JioHotstar, the combined streaming service of JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar, is now available on Samsung smart TVs in India. This new app brings together content from both platforms to make it easier for users to watch their favorite shows, movies, and sports in one place.

Back in November 2024, JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar combined into one app called JioHotstar. With a new update, this new app is now available on Samsung smart TVs with Tizen OS.

Just recently, the Disney+ Hotstar app on Samsung TVs received an important update with version 1.6.9. The update brings a new branding that now shows JioHotstar. This update also brought a message explaining the merger between JioCinema and Disney+ Hotstar to let users know about the exciting new features and content available.

With JioHotstar, users who already have a subscription to either Disney+ Hotstar or JioCinema can now enjoy content from both platforms. However, once their current subscription ends, they will need to switch to a JioHotstar subscription to keep watching.

JioHotstar offers three subscription plans – Mobile, Super, and Premium, with monthly and yearly options. If you don’t have a subscription, you can still use the app for free.

However, free users will have to watch ads while streaming. For those who prefer fewer ads, the Mobile and Super plans are available, which offers a more enjoyable experience with less interruption. The Premium plan gives users an ad-free experience.

One UI 7 Android Auto issue

Google has released a new update for the Android Auto app with version 14.0.1511, showing that it might soon offer several new climate control features. The update includes options like turning the AC on or off, defrosting windows, and controlling seat temperatures.

In the latest version of the Android Auto, @AssembleDebug spotted new features with codes. Some of the new features found in the app include modes like “auto” and “sync.”

The Auto mode will probably adjust the temperature inside the car based on what you like. The Sync mode will likely make the temperature settings the same for both the driver and the passenger, so there’s no need to adjust them separately.
