Some Galaxy S25 buyers regret their purchase due to overheating

Galaxy S25 is Samsung’s most powerful and smartest flagship lineup. The new phones are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. Meanwhile, some buyers are thinking of returning the Galaxy S25 back to Samsung due to overheating.
Samsung has launched the Galaxy S25 series on January 22. The company has announced the worldwide availability on February 7. This year, Samsung has started early delivery of pre-order units in various parts of the world.
Snapdragon 8 Elite comes with Qualcomm’s in-house Oryon CPU. The new configuration offers incredibly improved performance but at a cost. Some Galaxy S25 buyers spotted overheating issues with the newly released flagships.
While the S25 Ultra manages to handle heat generation, it is not the same case with all buyers and the other two models. The vanilla Galaxy S25 sometimes feels difficult to handle due to noticeable overheating during longer gaming sessions.
Yes, mine has been getting pretty hot to the point I can feel it through the case. I’ve had it since the 30th and it hasn’t gotten any better. I upgraded from S24 due to heating and now I might move away from the S25 if this doesn’t get fixed with an update.

Beyond that, some users noticed excessive heating during routine use and charging. It’s really a severe concern that the new premium smartphones are getting unbearably hot even in regular use cases such as web browsing and social media.
Following the release, the new phones are accused of overheating concerns. It seems the company’s larger vapor chamber cooling solutions are not enough to handle the heat generated by a 40% faster Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor.
Anyone else’s S25 ultra getting pretty hot during normal use and extremely hot when charging?

Mine too, it gets way too hot under normal use, haven’t tried it with games yet 2-3 days normal use
– Satoon71, Reddit
Mine is absolutely roasting hot after doing simple things. It’s really worrying. I think I’m gonna return it if Samsung don’t issue sooner update for it this month.

Samsung would acknowledge the complaints and promise a software fix as it usually does. An imminent acknowledgment is likely as the volume of complaints is concerning and doesn’t seem an avoidable matter.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE may launch with Flip 7 or face a delay

Recent reports create confusion about the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE. Samsung’s first affordable foldable may face a delay due to Exynos 2500 issues, but a credible source still believes the phone will launch in July this year.
According to MaxJambor, Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Z Flip FE (codename B7R) along with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7. If the company sticks to its initial plans, the affordable Flip phone may be unveiled in July.
Meanwhile, a recent report by TheBell indicates that the device may face a delay. This is due to uncertainties on the Exynos 2500. The company is still struggling with yield rate, leading it to revisit the utilization strategy.
Samsung is rumored to launch two additional foldable phones this year. In addition to the cheaper Flip, the company may also unveil a Galaxy G Fold with dual-folding display. The latter is rumored to hit the shelves by the end of the year.
The affordable Flip is expected to be priced around $700. It would help Samsung expand its presence among consumers with the foldable form factor. However, the device may have limited availability in certain regions.
Exynos 2500 has reportedly entered the internal mass production phase. The chipset’s stability and reliability will decide its fate to see the light of the day. The Korean tech giant hasn’t taken the final call on its installation in the Flip FE.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge just cleared a crucial certification hurdle

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge cleared BIS certification ahead of launch. The smartphone is now approved to be sold in the Indian market. Samsung is aiming to unveil the slim handset sometime in April this year.
Galaxy S25 Edge with SM-S937B model number has been listed on the BIS. The certification ensures that the device will launch in India. However, the listing reveals nothing other than the upcoming phone’s model number.
Reports say that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be positioned between the S25 Plus and S25 Ultra. Samsung could bring the device in initial numbers, with production capped at 40k units in the initial phase around release.

The Galaxy S25 Edge has replaced Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection in favor of Ceramic build. A Samsung official has recently confirmed that the slimness of the S25 Edge won’t come with the compromise of durability.
Meanwhile, the phone may disappoint from its battery capacity front. The upcoming S25 Edge is said to have a battery rated at 3,786 mAh, which will translate into a marketed typical capacity of 3,900 mAh, even lower than the 4000mAh of the S25.
A recent leak revealed that the Galaxy S25 Edge may start at Euro 1200 in European countries. The upper tier model would cost between Euro 1300-1400. We expect the US model may come with a price tag of $1100 to $1200.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge price, RAM, storage and Titanium color names revealed

A new report sheds light on the Galaxy S25 Edge phone’s price, RAM, storage and color variants. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge next month, bringing a competitor to Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air.
The phone would be identical to the S25 Plus in terms of RAM and storage. The company may follow S25 Ultra’s color branding strategy. The alleged pricing may put it in the middle of the S25 Plus and S25 Ultra.
S25 Edge Price and Memory Configuration
The Galaxy S25 Edge will be available in two storage configurations, pairing 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM.
The report claims that the S25 Edge would be pricier than the S25 Plus. The 256GB UFS 4.0 variant may be priced between €1,200 and €1,300 in Europe, while the 512GB UFS 4.0 model may have a price tag between €1,300 to €1,400.
As far as the US pricing is concerned, converting the European prices for the US market idea isn’t practically correct. €1,200 translates to nearly $1300, which is the retail list price of the Galaxy S25 Ultra and S25 Edge won’t be this pricey.
- S25 Edge may come with price tags of $1100 and $1200 in the USA.
Titanium Colors
Samsung may launch the Galaxy S25 Edge in three colors with “fake” Titanium branding. The device is rumored to feature a Ceramic build, while the company could retain the Galaxy S25 Ultra-like color branding strategy.
The info reveals that the S25 Edge may be available in Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jetblack. It remains to be disclosed whether Samsung really uses Titanium frame or just markets the colors without the real thing.

Third-party Galaxy S25 Edge case, skins already up for pre-orders

Samsung is likely to introduce a slimmer Galaxy S25 variant next month. While the unveiling is yet to happen, a third-party case maker has already started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 Edge phone’s cases, skins, and screen protectors.
dbrand has listed a Ghost Case 2.0, screen protector, and plenty of designer skins for the Galaxy S25 Edge. These products are up for pre-order, and consumers will start to receive them in the second quarter of the year.
Ghost Case 2.0 by dbrand is a unique product that features MagSafe support. It suggests that the slim Galaxy S25 variant would be equipped with wireless charging functionality just like the other models of the Galaxy S25 lineup.
The Ghost Case 2.0’s listing page facilitates you to bundle two screen protectors and a teardown skin for $105. You can also drop the MagSafe part, making it a transparent protection cover with thick Black support for the middle frame.

Beyond the Ghost Case, there are several skins available in various styles. Picking up a style mimics an S25 Edge smartphone with that particular skin applied. The page shows us a view of the rear panel and side look, which is quite slimmer.
The teardown skin keeps a note that the internal structure is shown of the S25 Plus. However, the skin will be delivered as per the real internal fitting, with dbrand working to get the real data as early as possible.
