Samsung launches ‘Interior Fit Kit’ for easier air conditioner installation

Samsung has introduced a new product called the ‘Samsung Interior Fit Kit,’ which makes installing system air conditioners much easier. It is mainly beneficial for homes with limited space between the inner and outer walls of the ceiling.
Previously, installing air conditioners required complicated work like cutting the ceiling, carpentry, and painting. These works took 2-3 days and often lowered the ceiling height to make the space look less appealing.
The new ‘Samsung Interior Fit Kit’ replaces this complicated step-down construction as it allows the system air conditioner to be installed quickly and without affecting the look of the room.
The kit connects the air conditioner to the ceiling seamlessly, keeping the space looking neat and tidy. In addition, it uses Samsung’s wind-free system, which provides gentle, comfortable airflow.
This kit offers an easy installation process. It takes just one day to complete. The kit works by drilling a hole in the ceiling’s outer wall and then installing the air conditioner on top of the kit. It can be used with all models of Samsung’s home wind-free system air conditioners, which include AI features.
The kit is available at Samsung stores across Korea, with prices ranging from 180,000 to 190,000 won depending on the size.

Samsung developing 50W wireless charging for future devices

Samsung is working to make wireless charging faster and more reliable with a high-speed of 50W. The company has introduced a new chip S2MIW06, which supports wireless charging speeds of up to 50W.
The latest power chip S2MIW06 is designed to work with the latest wireless charging standards, including Qi2. It supports different charging speeds – 5W for basic charging, 15W for faster charging, and up to 25W with a special Magnetic Power Profile (MPP).
MPP uses magnets to perfectly align your device with the charger, which helps avoid problems like overheating and slow charging caused by misalignment. While MPP currently supports up to 25W charging, the new chip from Samsung is designed to push this up to 50W.
Samsung is also working with the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) to develop the next wireless charging standard, Qi v.2.2.
