Good Lock
One UI 7 Good Lock is here with clean, modern look, new widgets, wallpapers and more

Samsung Good Lock app just received a major redesign in its latest update, bringing a fresh and modern aesthetic aligned with One UI 7 design. The fresh update arrives with version 3.0.10.1, which gives the app a simpler, cleaner layout along with new features.
With One UI 7, Samsung Good Lock gets a shift from a big, icon-heavy design to a more simple list view. The bottom tab area is also larger and has icons, which make it easier to tap and find what you need. You can now see three icons on the bottom, Terrace, Plugins, and You.
The new list format makes scrolling smoother but it might feel a bit less organized than before as categories are now just color-coded instead of clearly separated. It means you have to check the category by just looking at the color.
Moreover, you can now see a new search tool, which helps to find the modules easily. If you’re ever unsure about how to use something in the app, you can simply tap the “Good Lock Talk” button. It’s a chatbot that will help guide you to the right features based on your questions.
The update also adds some fun new features for widgets and wallpapers. By tapping the gift box icon at the top right, you’ll find a collection of cute wallpapers and two new widgets.
The first widget is a mini 1×1 one that lets you organize all your Good Lock apps in one place on your home screen. The second is a 4×2 cassette-style widget where you can add up to four of your favorite apps for quick access. It even changes color when you open an app.

Let’s take a look at the new features and updates in the Home Up app with One UI 7.
Fresh Interface
Upon opening the Home Up app, you’ll notice a redesigned interface featuring rounded squarish shapes instead of the previous list view. This new design adds a modern and appealing look. Each shape is uniquely shaded and includes the option name, an icon, a preview of some features, and a toggle.

Home Screen
Unlike the previous few options, the Home Up offers several new options to customize One UI Home. It now includes settings for basic operations and style, home screen layout, folders, app screens, and more.
You can personalize app icons, enable background blur, loop pages, adjust the home grid, and manage Finder access. Additionally, you can modify the app grid, folder layout, screen grid, folder icon grid, and control the appearance of popup folders and large folders, including matching the folder background color to the older style.
A new feature, the DIY Home Screen, is available exclusively to Galaxy S24 users testing the One UI 7 beta. This feature allows you to decorate your home screen with various stickers, freely move items, and use different convenient editing tools to customize your layout.
Gesture Settings
A new section introduced in One UI 7 for the Home Up app is Gesture Settings. This section lets you adjust several gesture-related settings, including animation tuning.
With Animation Tuning, you can control the speed of animations, choose from different animation styles, adjust gesture effects, and customize Multi-Finder gestures, transparency, and other options.
You can also adjust the vibration feedback for home gestures, tweak gesture sensitivity, and manage bottom gestures.
Edge Panel
With One UI 7, Samsung introduced the Edge Panel option in the Home Up app. There are three key features mentioned below.
- Show More Items: Run more of your favorite items simultaneously without needing to scroll.
- Scroll Recent Apps: Easily scroll through recent apps to access more of them.
- Show Edge Handle: Keep the edge handle visible, even while using an app in full-screen mode.
Task Changer
The Task Bar Layout now offers four options instead of five, with the Tilt Stack option replacing the List and Stack views. With One UI 7, you can now reorder app icons in the taskbar and add new icons on foldable and tablet devices.
Backup and Restore
The backup and restore options are similar to the previous UI. You can select the frequency of back up for your layout settings to ensure you can restore them when needed.
Share Manager
The Share Manager functionalities remain mostly unchanged. It allows you to choose specific app menus for sharing app settings.

One UI 7 introduces Animation Tuning to Samsung Home Up for next level customization
