Camera
It has 3 widgets in 2×1, 2×2, and 4×2 sizes. In comparison, One UI 6 only had a 2×2 layout.
Clock
It is one of the top system apps that received several new widgets for alarm, analog, digital, and dual lock. These are designed with a variety of new UI elements that surpass the predecessors with only a few options in each segment.
In this case, Alarm has four different widgets in 2×1, 2×2, 4×1, and 4×2, while the previous version only had a 2×1.

Samsung reportedly delays One UI 7.0; killing One UI 7.1 for One UI 7.0.1!

Samsung is making big changes to the One UI version strategy this year. New information suggests that the massive delay in the One UI 7.0 update has reportedly forced Samsung to cancel One UI 7.1, 7.1.1, and potentially bring One UI 7.0.1.
One UI 7.1 was planned but abandoned due to an unexpected delay in One UI 7.0, as per SamMobile. Since One UI 7.1 is being eradicated, the supposed One UI 7.1.1 is expected to be replaced by the One UI 7.0.1 version.
This year, Samsung has been pretty slow with One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy S24 series. Even though the Beta Program started in early December, the company didn’t manage to find and fix all the bugs in One UI 7 for older Galaxy devices.
Because of how late the One UI developers are with 7.0, Samsung might just skip the One UI 7.1 version altogether. The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Fold 7 are expected to come with One UI 7.0.1, not One UI 7.1 or One UI 7.1.1.
One UI 6.1 and 6.1.1: Remember how we got those updates? Well, it looks like these two versions won’t have direct successors. Instead of moving to 7.1 and 7.1.1, Samsung is allegedly considering jumping straight to 7.0.1 for upcoming foldables.
Stable One UI 7 could release in April 2025
The report speculates that the Stable One UI 7.0 update will come out around the time Samsung launches the Galaxy S25 Edge, which is rumored for April, so the Galaxy S24 series users might get that update in April too.
These developments suggest that we’ll have to wait a bit longer for our phones to get the latest software. Well, the company is planning to bring some features from the Galaxy S25 series apart from enhanced animations and performance.

One UI 7.0 delay could cause One UI 7.1.1 cancellation with Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7

We are in February 2025, Samsung is still testing the One UI 7 Beta on the Galaxy S24 series, and there may be more beta updates for testing. Because of these delays, it looks like Samsung might skip the One UI 7.1.1 version and instead release One UI 7.0.1.
A piece of new information suggests that the upcoming Galaxy Z Foldables, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, will likely come with a new custom skin, One UI 7.0.1. This means that this year, you might now see One UI 7.1 and One UI 7.1.1, which usually arrives with the Galaxy S series and Galaxy Z series.
Recent information indicates that Samsung will likely release the stable One UI 7 update in April 2025, after releasing three more beta updates. This means the stable update will arrive almost three months later than the usual timeline.
The delays in the One UI 7 Beta and stable update have caused confusion among users who purchased flagship models to get the latest features last year, but are still waiting for One UI 7. Several users are disappointed with this.
Due to these delays, Samsung may skip the One UI 7.1 and One UI 7.1.1 updates. Instead, the company is likely to release the One UI 7.0.1 update with the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7 smartphones.

Here’s the rumored One UI 7 Beta Roadmap
Beta Version | Release Month |
---|---|
Beta 4 | February |
Beta 5 | March |
Beta 6 | April |
Meanwhile, the delayed One UI 7 update might not extend Now Brief and AI Gallery Search to older Galaxy models. Well, these insights are based on leaks and insider info, and Samsung has yet to officially confirm these exclusions.
Samsung should now reveal its One UI 7 plans!
Samsung has reportedly spent 2-3 years on One UI elevating the user experiences. The outcome is being offered with the One UI 7 software update. However, older Galaxy users have no official input about the software’s availability.
This development has stirred the internet, sparking debates and anticipation among Galaxy S24 users awaiting these updates. The situation underscores an immediate need for official clarification from Samsung itself for several reasons.
One UI update strategy can influence consumer decisions. Samsung has an opportunity here to not only clarify these rumors but to reinforce its commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction in the face of rampant speculation.

One UI 7 on Galaxy S25 Ultra is Stable but performance tweaks and refinements are coming

Samsung is committed to bringing further refinements to the One UI 7. Even though the Galaxy S25 series introduced a Stable version of One UI 7, the software requires additional performance tweaks and optimization.
A new input suggests that Samsung may take around two months to bring refinements to One UI 7. The Galaxy S25 series runs the official One UI 7, but the version is “not optimized as expected,” indicating more work is yet to be done.
Samsung has recently started to roll out the first software update for the Galaxy S25 series. The latest OTA brings the February 2025 security patch to the devices. It also reportedly brings fixes for a camera nightography glitch.
One UI 7 is being praised for its animations, features, and stability. However, the real thing that Samsung intends to deliver is still months away. The optimization is said to be continued over the next two months, until around late March.
The Korean tech giant will offer an improved One UI 7 version to the Galaxy S25 series by the end of March. Segments that would see enhancements include system animations, performance, and background processing for apps and services.
For older models, Samsung may take around three months to commence the Stable rollout. A wild rumor claimed that the company may release Beta 4 this month, Beta 5 next month, and Beta 6 in April before kicking off the Stable distribution.
Galaxy S25 Series
On January 22, Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S25 series. The new flagships went on general sale globally on February 7. The company has seen tremendous response across the globe during the pre-order period of 11 days.
Snapdragon 8 Elite is used across the Galaxy S25 lineup. The new chip boasts Qualcomm’s in-house Oryon CPU as well as enhanced GPU and NPU. As a result, the new Samsung flagships deliver upgraded on-device AI capabilities.

Rumor suggests One UI 7 Stable still months away; Beta 4, 5, and 6 planned

Samsung may take three more months to release the Stable One UI 7 (Android 15) update. A new rumor suggests that the owners of the Galaxy S24 series could have to face One UI 7 Beta 4, Beta 5, and even Beta 6, until April this year.
According to a new rumor, Samsung could roll out One UI 7 Beta 4, Beta 5, and Beta 6 to the Galaxy S24 series. The final Beta is expected to be released in April this year, bringing the Beta participants to jump to a Stable build.
Here’s the rumored roadmap –
- Eligible Devices – Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra
- Software – One UI 7.0
- Beta 4 – February 2025 [Confirmed by Samsung – Source]
- Beta 5 – March 2025
- Beta 6 – April 2025
- Stable – Late April or early May 2025
Samsung has not yet announced the One UI 7 distribution plan for Galaxy devices. However, the Beta 4 update is likely to be rolled out next week. This delay has also postponed the S24 FE’s rumored One UI 7 rollout to May 2025.
The One UI 7 is already massively delayed and such an unexpected rumor of three more Betas is disappointing. Samsung is giving an excuse for perfecting the software, but such a delay couldn’t be handled without an official clarification.
One UI 7 update brings major design changes to Galaxy devices. Samsung officially introduced the Stable One UI 7 with the Galaxy S25 series. The recently released Galaxy F06 also runs the Stable version of Samsung’s Android 15 software.
Earlier, the software head Sally revealed that Samsung has been working for 2-3 years on One UI 7. The developers wanted to create a more impactful software experience for Galaxy smartphone users with a focus on every minor aspect.
Despite the heavy delay, the One UI 7 update is unlikely to bring all features to older models. Some AI-powered features require modern hardware (processor and NPU), rendering devices like the S24 and S23 series ineligible for on-device AI features.
