Breaking: Samsung to debut Awesome Intelligence AI with Galaxy A56

Published

Samsung Galaxy A56 One UI 7

Samsung is reportedly gearing up to enhance the AI capabilities in its A-series with the upcoming Galaxy A56. This smartphone could introduce advanced AI features to provide a next-level experience.

Recently, Samsung filed the trademark “Awesome Intelligence” in several countries, including Europe, the US, and South Korea. The word “Awesome” indicates Samsung’s A-series while “Awesome Intelligence” is also the full form of “AI.” This new Awesome Intelligence is likely a reference to new artificial intelligence features.

The striking trademark registration suggests that Samsung aims to integrate more advanced AI technology in the A-series to provide a premium phone-like experience.

The Galaxy A56 is expected to use the new Exynos 1580 processor, which should be powerful enough to support advanced AI tasks like photo editing and text summarization. This will improve the phone’s performance and make it more user-friendly for tasks that require some smart processing.

Although the trademark’s details are broad, this indicates that the Samsung Galaxy A56 could be the first Galaxy A series phone to get advanced AI features. Once the new AI feature is available, other models like the Galaxy A36 and A55 possibly could get similar features later on.

The Galaxy A56 smartphone is expected to launch in March 2025, and its price should stay in the same range as previous models, around €450 – €500.

This smartphone has already been spotted on several certification listings, revealing specs and design. China’s TENAA Galaxy A56 smartphone listing showed the phone’s front and back looks. The updated camera design includes a pill-shaped module with three cameras. There is also a flashlight on the back, which is separate from the camera module.

Gemini Live could soon offer auto summaries for your chats

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra S Pen

Google is planning to make its Gemini Live feature better by adding an automatic conversation summary option. The new feature has been spotted in the latest Google App beta version 16.6.23.

Right now, users can only ask for a summary before finishing the conversation. If they forget, they have to manually copy the entire transcript, which isn’t very easy as Google only lets you copy one response at a time.

The new update will automatically create a summary after each conversation ends. This change has been spotted by a reliable AssembleDebug (via Android Authority).

According to the information, Gemini Live will use a special prompt to make a short, paragraph-style summary of the conversation. The summary will include important points of discussion, organized into sections for topics and details. It will also match the tone of the conversation, whether it’s happy, serious, or anything else, and will avoid unnecessary details.

This feature will most likely work automatically, so users might not see the summary option directly. Instead, the summary could appear automatically after a conversation ends, or there might be an easy button to click for the summary.

Along with conversation summaries, Google is also working on a new button to add real-time captions for Gemini Live’s responses. It will make Gemini Live more accessible and user-friendly for everyone.

Google Gemini on Samsung devices

Google has made its Gemini app even more useful by allowing all Samsung Galaxy users to upload files. Previously, this feature was only available to people who paid for the Gemini Advanced plan, but now it’s open to everyone, even those using the free version of the app.

Recently, a new update of the Gemini app has been released, which allows users of a free version of Gemini to upload different types of files from their phone or Google Drive. This means that users can now enjoy advanced features for free.

The new file upload feature has been spotted on Samsung Galaxy S23 users in India, but it’s not yet live on the web version of Gemini. Google is expected to make it available on more platforms soon.

If you upload a file, you can ask Gemini questions about it, like asking for a summary of a document or analyzing its content. This makes it more convenient to get useful insights from files directly within the app.

While both free and paid versions allow file uploads, there is a difference in how they analyze the files. The paid Gemini Advanced plan uses a more powerful tool called Gemini 2.0 Pro, which provides better results when analyzing documents. However, the free version uses Flash 2.0, which still offers helpful insights but with a bit less accuracy.

Gemini lets you upload up to 10 files at a time, each can be 100MB. It also supports several file types:

  • Plain text files: TXT
  • Code files including C, CPP, PY, JAVA, PHP, SQL, and HTML
  • Document files: DOC, DOCX, PDF, RTF, DOT, DOTX, HWP, HWPX
  • Documents created in Google Docs
  • Tabular data files: CSV, TSV
  • Spreadsheet files: XLS, XLSX
  • Spreadsheets created in Google Sheets

Notably, you can upload a one code folder with 1000 maximum files at the time but the size of the folder should be 100MB.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra camera

Samsung has made a useful update to its voice assistant, Bixby, for Galaxy users. Bixby now supports the Japanese language but is currently only on the Galaxy S25 series. This makes it easier for Japanese-speaking users to interact with their Samsung devices.

The Korean tech giant has been notifying about the Japanese language support of Bixby through a notification on the Galaxy S25 series devices. Users of the Galaxy S25 running One UI 7 can enjoy this feature.

The message from Samsung thanked users for using Bixby and explained that Japanese language support would allow users to enjoy content and services customized for Japanese speakers while still having access to Bixby’s usual features.

With the addition of Japanese, Bixby now supports 12 languages in total. These include Deutsch (Deutschland), English (India), English (United Kingdom), English (United States), Espanol (Espana), Espanol (Latinoamerica), Francais (France), Italiano (Italia), Portugues (Brasil), Korean (Republic of Korea), and Simplified Chinese (China).

However, the Japanese language feature is only available on the Galaxy S25 series running One UI 7 stable. It does not work on older models, like the Galaxy S23. Samsung Galaxy S25 brings AI-based reply suggestions for WhatsApp

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

One UI 7 for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series introduces an amazing new feature for chat and text messages, Suggested Replies. This is a Samsung Keyboard feature feature, which uses on-device AI to generate potential responses to messages received on WhatsApp.

This new feature is different from the previously suggested replies introduced in One UI 6.1.1 on the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The older version works with notifications and offers less context. It is still available but operates differently from the more advanced version found on the Galaxy S25 with One UI 7.

The Suggested Replies feature of the One UI 7 makes it easier to reply quickly and efficiently. You can find through Settings >> Advanced Features >> Labs >> the “Suggested Replies” option is available for users of Samsung Keyboard.

When enabled, users receive a horizontally scrolling row of suggested replies to WhatsApp messages (Via Android Authority). These replies, such as “both have their pros and cons,” can be selected and sent with a tap. However, the response isn’t sent until the user presses the send button to give them a chance to review or edit the message.

This feature works entirely on the device to ensure that private conversations are not shared with third parties. While it currently works with WhatsApp, it may also extend to apps like Line and KakaoTalk. It is similar to Gboard’s Smart Reply. However, it is not compatible with Google Messages at this time.

For those who prefer using a third-party keyboard app, Samsung now offers alternative AI writing tools to help with composing responses. It ensures that you can still use the power of AI for replies even without a Samsung Keyboard.

The new AI-powered suggested replies feature enhances the messaging experience, and users with Galaxy S25 can enjoy this convenience.
